You are so right Taxi, not a day goes by when I don't learn something on here.
Washing mountain quickley deminishing into a hill. Washed stuff that needs special care (that normally lies in bottom of wash basket for weeks on end) and 'bleached' DH's whites for bakery.
Still not enough money to meet bills for end of month but praying that o/s cheques come tomorrow as that is more than enough to see us thru'. Little in the way of cash this week due to DH only doing a few shops as its a holiday here and therefore apple factory not able to supply until friday, ggggggggggrrrrrr. I am hoping this decluttering will lead to faster speed re flylady jobs i.e if there is less carp, there is less to clean etc etc. Thus I can free up even more time for number crunching!
As many have already said, if I did this a few years ago, I would have money in my pocket now but "thems the breaks" as they say (whoever they are!)
I am though looking forward, strangely, to saving for and buying stuff I NEED, because I do think I will 'treasure' them more!
Reddie, you are the same as me: sell carp, enjoy the space, enjoy the money and make sure you don't 'develop' more carp in the future.
I have learnt that things don't necessarily make you happy, and too many of them in a small space leads to unhapiness. Please call me 'Pickle'

Are you ebaying your life away too Pickle?
I am not traditionally a hoarder but DH is, he keeps total rubbish! And he was a bigger spender than me, although I did buy alot of clothes. I love space, I am a little OCD about cupboards and can't abide them untidy so he is currently upstairs going thru the five boxes he promised he would (Did I mention he is also huffing!)LBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.

Worse: I have a HUGE box of stuff right next to my bedroom door full of stuff which needs Ebaying. I've sort of convinced myself that it is more economical to wait until free listing days, the only problem being that I'm always working when they are on, and the listing will take more than two days, anyway, I think. I guess it's a form of procrastination. I need you to shout me into action, Reddie! Please call me 'Pickle'

Morning
Pickle - I am the last person who has the right to shout anyone into action. You will get there when you are ready!
My Ebay - 16 will sell for £27 so far, which I am most happy about.
However, we do not have enough money for end of the month. I need another £500. Of course the outstanding accounts come to £700 - gggggggggrrrrrrr. WIll phone them today to hurry them up a bit. As I said before, being a holiday week, minimum orders going out and therefore minimum cash coming back in!
Banks and scratchies done - no surprises (although I am hating that A&L dont show DD's dates and amounts, its a complete guessing game now and thankfully, so far I have been right)
Plan for today - post ebay stuff, go to the dump (my very fav thing to do) after I clear out hot press. Does a couple really need 50 towels, most of which are in varying shades of washout manky grey? Will put more stuff on Ebay later too.

It's so good to see you taking it easy, enjoying peace and tranquility in your time off. :rotfl:REDMADCURLS wrote: »Pickle - I am the last person who has the right to shout anyone into action. You will get there when you are ready!
It's not about 'rights', it's about getting someone else to provide the motivation to get me backside in gear! :rotfl: Although that should not be your job, Reddie. And I could easily do with that space near the door as well as the money: every time my dog comes in to say hello, she can't get her paw round the door to get back out again cos of the box, so I have to keep getting off the bed to let her out! :rotfl: Lazy Pickle! Please call me 'Pickle'

Well then consider you backside kicked on behalf of your doggie - do it the flylady way and tell yourself I will list 5 items today (we all know you always do more!)
I find it so much easier to get all the photo's done together and then bring a few items at a time to the computer and list. Then I put the listed pile in a diff place from the to list pile - the psychology of watching that pile go down helps my simple mind!!
Infact, have just ironed some stuff that I am going to photo this afternoonLBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.
