Oooh, I didn't know he was in that: Bond's a baddie, too, isn't he? :D

I've just spent the day totally demolishing my room and making my DVDs more accessible: I think I may be in a position to polish off a few more, now. :D

Depends on your definition of baddie! He's the main character so technically the hero of the film who we should be rooting for but he is a drug dealer so also a baddie - one of those moral dilemas for the viewer - a bit like Dexter! There is a bit where he seems to be pretending to be Bond which is quite entertaining knowing that a few years later he is!

Well done for sorting your room out :T - it always makes things easier when you can get at the DVDs! Mine are organised and accessible but under the bed so i do forget what I have!
No more buying books Books in 2016 = 20.
    Target for 2018 = 7/21
No more buying DVDs ? 2018 target 27/52

Steady...I haven't looked Under The Bed! :rotfl:

The Bond scene...don't they call that 'dramatic irony'? :D

  • After a VERY slow start to this challenge I seem to picking up pace slightly! :j

Watched "Rain Man" on Friday, which people could never believe I hadn't seen. I enjoyed it - the acting was brilliant and I liked the change in Tom Cruise's character!

I'm home alone again tonight so think I'll tick another one off - not sure which though - I need some inspiration! Anyone got any ideas - obviously these will be slightly blind suggestions of guessing what I might own! Good luck!! :D

  • Well I didn't watch a film last night but I did start a new TV boxset, which I bought a few months ago and have yet to get around to watching. It is "The Cape" about a policeman framed for murder who becomes a superhero vigilante - thought it was brilliant! :T

I'm also more than half way through S4 of Bones so will hopefully have some more unwatched DVDs ticked off the list soon! :D

  • Finished series 4 of "Bones" last night and moved straight onto Series 5 - which I'll most likely continue tonight. The end episode was brilliant but very bizarre!

Also about half way through "The Cape". Fear the Sky+ is getting a little neglected though!! :o

  • Another two knocked off my list. Series 5 of Bones and Series 5 of Criminal Minds. Have now started Series 6 of criminal minds, which came yesterday :D. Wouldn't think this will take too long to watch as I'm a little bit addicted to it!!

Still only half way through The Cape as I've been trying to catch up on Sky + recently - nearly there now!

Crikey blindtoast, you are doing brilliantly! :T

You are putting my own efforts to shame. :o

Carry on carrying on, and I shall have to see if there is any hope in catching you up. :rotfl:

Thanks Pickle. I'm keeping going - I find series' easier to watch as they can be just 45 mins or you can get carried away and watch them for hours - the only draw back is that they do take a lot longer than films to watch (obviously) - so my numbers go up quite slowly!! And of course the other problem is that I keep buying the next series once I get into a program (I've already ordered Bones S6 :o) - defeating the object of it all slightly!!

Haven't bought any on a whim films for months tho so it's obviously helping a bit!!

You seem to doing much better than me with books! Just keep going - little steps!! And surely if you don't buy any more it doesn't matter how long it takes to watch the ones you already have?!

  • Only 2 episodes of Criminal minds S6 and 4 episodes of The Cape left to watch and I will be able to tick off 2 more :D

I should also really try and count up what I have left to watch but am, at the minute, in blissful ignorance to the actual number and can try and kid myself there aren't that many!! :o

I know what you mean - I lived in France for a year and had a TV with a truly rubbish arial, so I bought the box sets for the last 2 seasons of The X Files and Angel respecitively, and they stopped me going mad, but took quite a while to watch. It was great, but no wonder those essays took forever to finish! ;)

I guess if you are doing well on one, you can't spend as much time on the other. I will have to try to find a better balance next year. It's a real beggar when you are trying to delutter, though! :rotfl: I don't think I will hit my 25 book target this year as I had a big drought period of about 3 or 4 months when I didn't read much which has taken its tole. (Unless I can count all the children's books I read when I went shopping for some presents - I read at least 6, so I would easily have hit my target. Ooooh canIcanIcanIcanIcanI?! :j :rotfl: Oh, OK then. No. :(;)) Some of the books I have got left to read are really bit, so I'll probably only get one or two more in before the end of the year, but hey ho, it's all adding to the total! :T
