I've not posted here for a while however thought I'd better come on and confess to my purchase of Glee Season 1 - it was reduced to £17.99 and I have started to watch it.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

That's not bad at all - I nearly bought In the Mood for Love for a fiver the other day, but managed to resist. Go Pickle! :T

I've FINALLY got round to watching a DVD! :j

I watched 'Atame!' ('Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down!') by Pedro Amoldovar. It was enjoyable in many respects, but the central premise of a woman falling in love with a guy who kidnaps her is a bit much. Ever heard the phrase 'Stockholm syndrome'?

I watched another one - woo hoo! :j

I watched the DVD box set of Spiral, a French detective drama. It was 2 DVDs in a box set, but I'm counting it as 2 DVDs not 1, which I think I technically consider it, but I've been really pants at this challenge (which is very bad considering I set it up then dragged you lot along! :o), so I need to do something to improve my numbers! :o:p :rotfl:

For those considering, t'was good, and I would recommend it.

Wow, have I been lax on this challenge! :o

I've tidied up my bedroom and have taken my biggest box of DVDs out from the bottom shelf of my wardrobe and have put it next to the head of my bed in an attempt to entice me to watch them as they are easier to get to. I started in good style, watching Stephen Spielberg's Empire of the Sun, which was pretty good, but I wouldn't rave about it, but I'm happy to have hopefully started on watching more DVDs from now in: I will try to watch 2 or 3 a week.

Hope the rest of you re-rise to the challenge as well! :D

Right...time to get organised in more than one way:

In the 'No More Buying Books Until...' challenge, I challenged myself to read 25 books this year.

I've counted how many weeks there are left until the end of the year and there are 18. If I watch 2 DVDs a week, that makes an additional 36 DVDs before the end of they year, meaning that if I keep to the target, I will have watched 40 before the end of the year.

So there's my new challenge. It seems a bit more manageable now! :D

Right, I managed to knock another one off the list last night: Sense and Sensibilty.

Upon getting toward the end, I realised that I had already seen it on TV. However, it's one more off the list. :D
