I loved Flashforward. Shame it has been cancelled.

We bought each other quite a few DVDs for Christmas. We got:-

    Me:-
The Vampire Diaries Season 1 on Blu Ray; Supernatural Seasons 1-5 on Blu Ray
    MrMr:-
Battlestar Gallactica - whole set on Blu Ray; Inception on Blu-Ray
    Daughter Emma:-
Dr Who Seasons 1-4, St Trinians and St Trinians 2, Twilight Trilogy

So far have started TVD, Battlestar and Dr Who, have watched Inception and St Trinians. All pretty good viewing I have to say. I am (shamefully) keeping an eye on The Teachers complete Seasons box set at Sainsbury's If it goes down to a silly price I'll nab it! x
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Sorry! :o I've been really bad, but it's mainly cos my TV in my room is out of service and I've been really busy. :(

I promise to make an effort to work two DVDs before the end of the month. I have SOOOO many to watch, it's untrue, and I need to get through them.

Best of luck everyone else. You have been doing some seriously impressive viewing. :T

It might be worth watching the price on Amazon too. I buy alot of stuff used from Amazon these days. Just pick a highly rated supplier and get dvds in good condition. A lot of DVDs I buy are delievered to my door for less than £2!!!

Looking at amazon the complete series of Teachers can be bought for about £16 2nd hand. But individually the series can cost less than £2. For a whole series!!!!!!!! Here's a link:-

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Ddvd&field-keywords=teachers&x=16&y=17

Not that I'm encouraging you to spend money of course..... :D

Thanks for that - I'd rather have the whole box set in one for storage purposes. I don't want to order online either. It's a bit like the thrill of the chase with it. Every time we go in to shop it is still there so I'm figuring there has got to come a time when the price has to be seriously dropped. I bought most of the 24 series at my local Sainsbury's when they were reduced loads too. x

  • Finished Yosuga no Sora yesterday! Not a great series, but oh well!

Away to bed to try and finish my book, then i think tomorrow is going to be an ironing day...so i can watch something while doing that! :)

I always watch telly whilst ironing. Unfortunately it's usually QVC or Something for the Weekend - can't watch anything that requires my concentration.
