The 'No More Buying DVDs Until I Have Watched the Ones I Already Own' Thread

I haven't posted on here for ages because we've been watching so much on TV that we hadn't been watching any DVDs. But now with the demise of Lost, 24, Supernatural and The Vampire Diaries we have found ourselves at a loose end and as a family have been sitting down on a Saturday night (now there's no Dr Who either) to watch together. So far we have watched Independence Day, The Day After Tomorrow and Polar Express (still in its cellophane from Christmas Past) as a family - Will confess though that we bought The Day After Tomorrow recently (not badly priced though £5.00 for that an Independence Day (although we did have a copy of this one already our existing copy was a Special Edition with lots of Editor's bits that I think are totally irrelevent and spoil the film so am happy that we now have the cinema version)) :money:. Me and MrM have also watched the Kingdom Hospital box set.
Have loads to watch still but now that there's nothing on TV should get thorugh some.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Great idea for a thread!
Think I should join really as I have 5-10 films outstanding along with Season 4 of Peep Show and Season 2 of Curb Your Enthusiasm.
SMF - you've done well to watch all of the Lost seasons in such a short space of time, your head must be numb! I hope season 6 lives up to your expectations!
Oh yeah and can anyone tell me why is it that whenever I buy a DVD, it's on TV the following week? Because of this I don't watch it on the TV as it would feel like a complete waste of money. Then, the DVD just accumulates dust on the side for months on end unwatched?Debt at IVA agree date 1/3/08 £28k (reduced to £18,900)
Amount left 08/01/11 = £7560 (60.00% cleared!)
[STRIKE]IOU to mate £1500[/STRIKE]
Money saved £150
