Happy New Year hun - but wow Iove the photos of your house looks soooo gorgeous - you will have to come round and do mine - I am rubbish when it comes to ideas for colours etc. lol
Sounds like you had a wonderful xmas - we did too. The kids didnt get as much as they usually do but they loved everything which felt really good.
Also I know what you mean about feeling confident and happier. Since I have been more focused with the finances we are more orgainsed with days out, walks, picnics and we actually do more together now which is fab.
Hope your little girls first day goes well bless her - they grow up sooo fast. I have 2 at school and little one goes next year. I dont know whether I am dreading it or looking forward to the time off lol. It will soon come around. xxx

Aw Thank you i always wanted to do interior design but it is so costly, even the course from home are a fortune and i am not qualified for some of the things needed such as mathmatics and am completely useless at measuring up LOL!
I love designing a room then putting it into action. I use moodboards which help a lot when planning.
My aim this year is to enjoy having my DS to myself and spend everyday doing something outside whether it be a walk after we drop off DD or a trip out and about. Just across from the school is a huge nature reserve and fields that go on for miles so it will certainly keep me fit this year LOL!
I have 56LB to lose - so gonna need the extra exercise to help shift it all.
Today i ironed and got all DD`s uniform ready and put all her school bits in her wardrobe in a wicker drawer type box so she knows what is what.
She is organised like me so i know it will stay as it is. She is going to enjoy school so much it will do her good.
This evening we got a phonecall from DH`s mum who we havent seen since DD was born May 2006!!! She is only back in touch because DH sent her a xmas card otherwise we would not of heard from her at all. She is coming round on Tues afternoon to see us all and i am not looking forward to it tbh BUT am going to be pleasant despite my hate for the women.
I have had a bit of a spring clean this evening. Took the tree down and boxed it up (currently in the car boot waiting to go in mums loft in the morning). Cleared out my hall cupboard and had a good clear out in general - 4 black bags!!!DebtFree FEB 2010!Slight blip in 2013 - Debtfree Aug 2014 :j

Had a nice day at my parents today. Put all my xmas bits up into the loft so thats that job done.
DH decided to go on a DIY frenzy - not common at all so while he was ready with his drill and screws i grabbed what i could for him to do
Firstlyl he put up a curtain pole in DS`s room, then he put up a canvas of DS above his bed and 3 small canvases on the opposite wall (been waiting since last April for them to go up!!!)
Then he put our wedding picture up in our bedroom. I bought a beautiful ornate frame for it a few months back and it has been sitting there leaned up against the wall waiting to be put up LOL!
I had some ornate curtain holdbacks for the bedroom but they are very heavy and we couldnt find the fittings for them anywhere. Today DH was in Homebase and he found some so they went up
I absolutely love these and they really complete the window area now.
I have no little jobs for him to do now.
Things needing to be done are as follows...
Kitchen wall to be tiled (DH can`t do this!) and painted throughout (no idea on colour at all!!)
Hall cupboard shelved out - so it is a mini utility room 3ftx3ft.
Hall way - wallpapered (still choosing that!!)
Living room - feature wall wallpapered and walls painted (not chosen either yet!)
Top landing - wallpapered (not chosen yet)
Our bedroom - feature wall papered (got paint and wallpaper) and WARDROBE!!
DD/DS room walls painted (got paint for both)
Bathroom furniture - coming in approx 3 weeks then that room is 100% complete.
SO not bad really, my older brother has just had a fitted kitchen done and had a self employed tiler to do his and recommended him to us. I went to see my brothers kitchen and the tiling was amazingly done!! SO i will be asking him to come and do a quote for me. I am only have on main wall and a small side wall done and not from floor to ceiling just mid way up so hoping it wont be too costly.
It certainly wont be a job that can be done soon as i will have to save for it to be done. I am having mosaic sheets which are reasonable in price compared to some tiles i wanted and they cover larger areas making it a quick and easier job - my reasoning for choosing them less time less charge LOL!
2011 is going to be a very busy year for us, we are going to really try and get as much done as we can on what little budget we have we have already done so well.
My wardobe will hopefully be in my bedroom by this Xmasi am going to throw everything at my savings tin!!
My friend is a qualified interior designer who works on large budgets or no limits budget and has done for over 15yrs now, she said considering my budget is poor i have done a fab job with the rooms so farI felt so choked up when she said that and quite proud!

DD enjoyed her first morning in school, she was so excited this morning.
DH`s mother came and stayed for 3hrs, very pleasant and it went well. Both children were good and it didnt bother then seeing a `stranger` when normally they act all shy and silly!!
She gave them both a £10 toys r us giftcard as she left so we popped out earlier and both chose a toy. DD got peppa pig school set and DS got postman pat hide and seek.
I popped into Homebase and saw some lightshade on offer. WAS £24.95 NOW £12,47 :money:SO i bought 2, one for the bathroom and one for the downstairs loo. BUT one had crystal droplets missing so i went back in and explained and got my £12.47 back PLUS a new light shade!! BARGAIN!! SO all i bought really was half a lampshade:rotfl:DebtFree FEB 2010!Slight blip in 2013 - Debtfree Aug 2014 :j
