All going really well here :D
Bills paid, food shopping done and everyone healthy and happy - the main thing!
Today would of been payday but as DH`s wages are now monthly we have face a Thursday with money and we are fine!

We adjusted really well, Last week DH paid all the bills, done a good food shop and we will be fine until payday:T

I really thought it would be a struggle but it isnt! Main thing is the bills are all paid and we have food to last us the month.

I have done a weekly meal plan which we have stuck too all week, the children have enjoyed it so all is fab!

I have taken £20 out of my secret savings as we were low on petrol and ran out of milk last weekend BUT my savings are still `secret` :rotfl:It gets moved about regular to ensure it dont get found - i even lost it on Sunday night LOL! All found now and in DD`s wardobe in a pocket of a winter fur dress :)

Betterware has picked up this week so hopefully it is getting back to how it was :)

Last night i was a bit down after my neighbour was decorating and invited me in to see what he had done and when i went in i was sooooooooo jealous!!!
Their furniture is all Armoire (the style i want for my bedroom) He had everything dining tabke and chairs, hall console table, tv unit, mirrors etc, and the house just looked perfect - very me!
Clearly their finances are way better then ours (or they are in debt!) It just made me feel very envious and i did get out as quick as i could without looking obvious. If i had stayed longer i may have started to cry LOL!
Funny thing is i was talking to his wife when we first moved in and she was talking about ikea wardrobes and i said oh im saving for some armoires and she just smiled and said oh right thats nice! NOW i know why!!:rotfl:

One day i will have it........I WILL!!!

  • Yes i think you may be right.
They have sold their car but got a new one recently, huge great big 4x4. They talk big - very nice couple though brilliant neighbours :)
She is a sahm and he is doing his london knowledge so unless they have huge savings they cant be getting much income.

Everything still ticking over nicely :)
I was on ebay being nosey and spotted a armoire dressing table for £72 but it was for home collection in cornwall :( What a bargain that would of been if it was local - only one bid with 7 mins to go aswell Grr!!

I am hoping we do really well this week, it is a good area we put out books for this week so i am feeling confident.

  • Well i have done really well with the weekly meal planning and it has gone down a storm with DH and the children.
Our grocerie shop is now very basic and extremely cheap :) BUT still enjoyable and varied!!

I have been using my tomatoes and herbs which i have to say have been a god send at adding some flavours to dishes that may have been a bit bland.
I have been bulking meals up using veg.

I am going to be preparing for next year and am planning on growing different varieties of tomatoes, salad leaves, carrots, peppers and am tempted to try onion, mushrooms - we use these a lot. And i`m also wanting to do some kind of fruit aswell as strawberries so i can make jams and also use the fruits in cooking.
I am thinking of doing raspberry in a pot!
Need to read up on it all as i am a novice and dont know all the hows and what nots.

This week is a bit tight but we are managing well, pay day Friday so bills and things to pay then whatever is left is for groceries and maybe a bit over to put aside for the coming weeks.

I could really do with having a small freezer so i can store more meat and so i could meal batch would be nice BUT we have nowhere for another freezer :(

  • Well i can positively say all is going really really well and the monthly wage hasnt caused any issues!!

Today was our 1st payday:j i done the grocery shop online for the first time - No more weekly shopping we have gone monthly!!

I Used a £10 off ecoupon and the bill came to £83.96 (WHICH inc delivery charge, baking supplies/condiments too which arent needed every month)
Without the extras i ordered this time round it Brings the monthly bill down to £73.80 at Tesco unless i need anything extra.
Things we can get cheaper in Iceland (cheese, eggs, juice, pizza, veg) we got and spent £24 in total there this afternoon.
So grand total of £107.06p :T

Since we moved we have not been shopping at Tesco, so great to have the clubcard points back :)

DH filled his car up for the month £60 and bills all paid SO now we can sit back knowing food is ok, bills are paid :D

NOW saving wise DH still has no offer to save anything, not even a £1 here and there. He owes me £70 (from my savings) but as yet he hasnt given me it

Betterware going well, we did great this week so commision will be fab next week. We got £30 commision yesterday which went towards iceland shop and petrol!

  • WELL not very MSE but we have another cat.
It was FREE and is a rescue cat of approx 1 yr old.

DH wanted it and i said no! He begged all night and i just continued to say no and my reasons for saying so.
This morning he told my mum who then agreed we should `save` the cat! SO i gave in LOL!

I am not happy, we have an 11yr old cat i have had since she was 4 weeks old, she is a good cat and dont cost anything hardly.
This cat already has cost £24  Litter tray, flea collar, flea drops, dewormer and cat bed!!
And she need all vaccinations and to be neutered.
I am worried about her damaging things, and worried about my poor older cat :(

  • Well the new cat is good and very clean BUT she has started vomiting after she has eaten so vets it is :(
I have no ides how much this will cost and am not happy at all.
I KNEW this would happen or something similar and am now worried sick about finances especially if we have a huge vet bill!!

I have dewormed her and she appears full of energy so i dont think it is worms or a bad illness as such. She was fine yesterday but today has been sick quite a bit after eating this morning!

  • Oh roll on Thursday :)

Well the cat has just come back from the vets, looks like she has a bug of some kind so she has had a antibiotic injection and been given some sachets of food to give her over the next 2 days. £35 and he said we can pay a bit at a time luckily.

I think they must have knocked some off the bill tbh because consultations are about £28! New vet we have not used them before so that was really good of them.

Sounds really bad but i really wish i hadnt agreed to getting it, i should of stuck to my work when i said `no!!`. BUT she is here now and i did say to DH before he left for the vet if she is really poorly and it is going to cost then she will have to go as it just isnt fair for her to be unkept or for us to stryggle because of an animal and he went mad! LOL!
I just think sometimes people need to see humans come before animals, and there are humans out there who give animals good homes, not as if she would be dumped in a field i`m talking taken to a cattery for rehoming.
My poor older cat is now held hostege upstairs and wont come down :( Poor lass has lost her evening cuddles and her favourite sofa seat.

Well this afternoon DH took the kitten to a cattery and said goodbye :(
She was fine after the vet visit and 2 day on special dietary food, then Friday back on normal food and she started vomiting and we just can`t afford vet fees or the special diet she appears to require.
She also peed on my door mat, only twice (that i know about as i spotted her) BUT still - I just can`t stand that!!

I do feel guilty BUT i know she will be cared for and rehomed properly. Lesson learned if you say NO stick by your words :)

DH was very cross about getting rid of her and cried when he put her into the car, i almost said `ok bring her back in` BUT turned away and walked in closing the door behind me. I do feel dreadful about it and just hope she will be taken by a family who love her.

The children waved her goodbye and were not bothered at all, they have not even asked about her which made it better for me.

ANYWAY i have been baking today, and had my parents over the last 2 days showing me basic recipes and mum treated me to some baking things. I really do enjoy baking now and am looking forward to doing more difficult things - still very much a novice!
We done reallt well with betterware oreders last week, a very good week for us.

My parents cooker broke so they are awaiting a new one they have been without for over a week now!! I done sunday roast for them and they really enjoyed it SO i am planning to do more of them.
My mum and dad love coming round and feel so comfortable being here, i love my mum and dad so much and often wished we still lived together.
