Well feeling a lot better today and to be honest i think it is because i know we will be ok.
We are short because we had to pay 2 lots of rent - this will NOT happen again as we have really suffered!!

Anyway we are due to collect the betterware books in tomorrow and whilst walking home we spotted some books out on doorsteps. One order was £101.87!!!:T:j the others were £22.95 and £8.98.

  • Is there really an initial outlay for Avon? I thought "they" just deducted it from the comission on your first order?

The house is lovely, by the way - really nice, shiny and new! Very impressed. I hope you're very happy there x

All the orders are in and we got £205.12p in orders which we are quite pleased about.
The money we earn from this little job is going to be given to my parents to look after SO we will be getting the rest of the house complete :)
May take a while BUT at least it is happening!

I was given 2 tomato plants today and also a butternut squash plant which was fab! I have potted the tomato plants and have put the butternut in the ground in one of my newly made flowerbeds :)

Things have been really good and i am feeling so much better.
Life really is a rollercoaster sometimes, and when it goes down it certainly hits you hard!!!

My mum came out with us today and we bought a blind for the childrens bedrooms and i got two small swags for the bathrooms - we got them from Linens direct the 4ft blinds were £17.99 each and the swags were £4.99 each. I thought that was fab!!
My mum then proceeded to go to Homebase and then bought us a blind for the kitchen, living room and our bedroom along with a plant for the garden a beautiful Salvia nemorosa 'Ostfriesland' hopefully will encourage butterflies!!!
I felt awful and told her no but she wasn`t having any of it! These were £50 each and stunning looking what we really wanted but just couldnt afford.

I then gave my dad £200 towards the £320 i owe him and he told me to keep it and put it towards our bedroom - *very emotional* my parents are so generous and sweet!
They are both retired, have no savings and manage on pensions :(
It is really nice of them but makes me feel so guilty!!

DH`s parents have bought us a lawnmower which they are bringing over on Sunday - AGAIN we couldnt afford one just yet and have been borrowing my parents one, so DH`s parents rang to say they had got us one!

We done ok with Betterware this week £162 in orders, not as good as last week but better then nothing and we enjoy it which is a bonus.

Car insurance has just been renewed and it is much cheaper :j
Council tax is now over 12months :j

SO back to saving now and it seems we are back on track :D

You know Pinky it sounds really odd but without my parents i really dont think i`d survive.
I have felt so down recently i really started having awful thoughts going round in my head. They are so good to me and funny enough they say the same to me.
We are very close and i had every intention to pay my dad back for the flooring he bought for us, he agreed this prior to going to the flooring shop and ordering it.
I certainly will follow in their footsteps and do what i can to help my two when they need it, and i am also going to encourage them to be really good with income etc from a early age to prevent mistakes we`ve made growing up.

My father recently gave up his little betterware job as he was struggling doing a big round so i have managed to get him his job back jusat last night i got that sorted out. It is a smaller round and he gets to have his old customers back :) He loves walking and meeting people and did miss it. Bit of extra pocket money for him too.

I am considering starting my xmas shopping LOL! I dont go mad and stick to a very strict budget anyway but this year it is going to be our 1st xmas in our new home :D
We always go to my parents and this year they are coming to us woohoo!!
My opportunity to give something back. I have already got my tesco xmas savers club bumping up which i understand i will get in November.
I dont need a xmas tree or anything like decorations luckily but would like to get some presents for everyone this year. We normally only do the two children but i`m including my parents and my DH this year!
Hoping to do some homemade bits along with maybe a hamper each, so going to start collecting bargains for those.
My dad loves gardening so thinking of doing a gardening hamper for him including tea bags - He loves tea!!.
My mum is a crossword fanactic so maybe crossword books, dictionary, coffee, biscuits, chocolate and some nice comfy slippers/socks for those cosy Sunday afternoons :)

Well we have done well again this week at betterware and should have over £50 coming from that! :)
We have £271 in orders so far and still a few books to collect in over the next day or so.

I went to the market today and got some fruit so cheap, will definately be going back again on a regular basis. They were very good quality and were so cheap!!

I have 2 savings accounts which were full and of course we used them on buying the house things so they were empty! Although we had spent it wisely it was awful seeing the `0` and also saying we have no savings! After always being in trouble with money and clearing our debts it was so nice to beable to save and see the amounts rise each month!!
SO i now have £5 in one and £20.89 in the other :)
Hoping to keep these two bumped up as and when. Just hope i wont need to dip into them too much too often as i would like to get a good amount saved this time.
I may keep one to myself and not let DH know, He is the spender in the relationship and if it isnt there he wont know ;)
There wont be huge amounts going in just odd bits, after bills have come out of my account i will transfer whats left into them.
I pay the elec, gas and water using my child benefit which is £132.80 a month.
