Dave, I have a few photos on my blog, hope to have something to show off up there later in the year

Hey, I've just had a look at your roof space there.:) That could be a really great green space, and as there are lots of walls around, trapping the heat, it could be a super environment for veg and fruit. Might need a lot of watering though!
Have bookmarked your blog.;)0 -
Thanks Primrose. Had been planning to sow mine today, plus my tomatoes, & get them going on the lounge windowsill until it's a bit warmer in the greenhouse. I did this last year & everything seemed to get off to a good start.2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!0 -
Got some herbs in here, and was going to start getting my peppers/chillis and toms in this week. We are in the northwest, but we seem to be in a warm pocket and avoid too much frost after end of feb. Plus they will go in the greenhouse eventually anyway.

Just to ask. I have all the pots etc ready.
I have a glass lean to. I can plant indoors.
Glitch is we have no central heating and its COLD.
I know dumb question, but I should wait till its warmer? Right?
When will it be 22 outside

Haven`t checked it myself but someone said on here that B&Q are doing a heated propagator for under £10. I find chillis take a while to germinate even in a heated propagator so find mine really useful.0 -

I got one last week from there, it was about £13 so not a bad price.
Oh, just checked, the swines have reduced it by £3, hence now under a tenner!

Great, thanks for that! My step mum-in-law works in B&Q and is going to grab me a couple....(she gets a further 20% staff discount off that price so it'll only actually cost me £15.96)!! WooHoo!!:j0 -
Anyone got any recommendations of good ones to buy? Last few years I've ended up with plants that do lots of really little, really hot chillis. This year I'd like some that do bigger, not so hot chillis. Any suggestions?
And where do you guys buy your seeds from?0 -
I buy Thompson and Morgan seeds from the Wyevale chain who usually (and still are at the moment) sell seeds at 50% off marked price! T&M aren't the cheapest but i've had good results from the seeds i've used before!Anyone got any recommendations of good ones to buy?
