Cally I think I'd be tempted just to get in touch with them and say you've noticed they hadn't been on for a while - are they finding it hard fitting it in with their other commitments or is it not what they expected it to be like. Ask if they are still interested in being mods or if they feel like they would be happier standing down.
Explain that maybe you weren't clear in your discussions with them but you had envisioned the role also including being part of the discussions and helping to keep up a momentum and do they think they would be happy to start doing that.
I wouldn't just de mod angrily if you had one expectation and they thought they would just have to get involved if they saw a problem. It is quite possible to keep an eye on forums without being signed in so they may have been reading but not seen any reason to log on and intervene.
If they have been acting in good faith and you de mod them you could cause a backlash.
If things are more clear cut than that then maybe stronger action/ words are needed but I would err on the side of discussing in the first instance personally.

Post Office apologized, the lady was a temp and put it to one side and it didn't get posted. They refunded my postage and have promised it'll go with tomorrow's post. Sorry for the inconvenience :o

And they think Royal Mail is a first class service...they even asked me to fill out a survey saying I had had a good experience :rotfl:

don't apologise. I was feeling guilty that you had gone to trouble and effort and I felt bad asking because I didn't want you to feel that I was hassling but also didn't want you think I was ungrateful lol! Glad it was just a mix up, though not good customer service!! Hope you don't feel I have hassled you. thank you again! :T

Hope you are feeling a bit better today too and that your delivery comes tomorrow, really think you need to chase up the January one...could be a simple mistake like a temp at the post office :rotfl:

Cally - I agree with jo. I would email them mentoinging you noticed they haven't logged infor a couple of months, and that if they had lost interest or had other things going on that was perfectly fine and did they wnat to be un-modded so that other more active members could take over.

I've been admin and mod of forums before and I know it can be no fun. One forum i loved it, the other I felt kind of pressured into doing it and hardly ever visited. And the longer I didn't visit the more guilty I felt and less likely I was to visit.
  • Wayne - last time I was in Sports Direct they were selling Fruit of the Loom t-shirts 3 for 2. Can't remember the exact prices but they were cheap. I think the advice to buy a few t-shirts and give it a go is excellent advice - take it! :) Then this will help you know how to price up your products etc if you decide to take the plunge and bulk buy.
    Go for it!!

  • Okay since I was asleep when you lot were spouting poetry here is my random effort ...

As our fingers on the keyboard pound
    Together our ideas are unbound
Some of you know where you are going
And thank you all for showing
The rest of us have no idea
    But are slowly getting somewhere
Sometimes we have the odd nightmare
And this is also a place to share
So stop with the saying sorry
Or I’ll fly over and hit you with my brolly

Brolly = umbrella and yeah, know it doesn't quite rhyme lol

  • Nixi - No worries, I was gonna PM you and ask if you'd got it!

I feel really stagnant tonight. It's only been a day since I sent my certificates to the new course, and she said it would take around 5, but the woman from the uni said it always seems to take forever. It already feels like it is...I just need to know! Waiting for supplies for the business, too. So fed up. Health is rubbish, too....
