    Hi Munchki

I've only just come accross this thread, so apologies if what I have am about to say has already been said, but as far as I can see, you have only been applying for jobs that have been advertised (sorry if this is incorrect).

It seems to me that you have a variety of skills which would be useful to small and medium sized companies, so I think that you should send a letter highlighting your skills to all the SMEs in the areas where you want to work. You could offer to work for a day for free and let them see for themselves how useful you could be. Some SMEs need skilled people like you but cannot offer a full time permanent position and so if you can get a few companies to employ you for a few days a month, then it could work out well for both parties.

Again, apologies if you have already tried this.

Thank you for that, all thoughts and idea greatly appreciated. The business I am trying to run does exactly that and so far has not had much due mostly to the economy, but I will certainly see about more places to apply and search out. I have contacted companies that I have not seen advertised and sent letters of introduction to them. I really cant think of much I have not tried, but nothing to lose by continueing. Again, thank you x

Munchki - can only echo what the others have said. Just keep doing what you're doing and it will happen eventually x
  • I don't know where my days are going, it always seems to be much later in the evening than I intended by the time I get here!

Really non-productive day as far as making money for me is concerned, too busy at work for me to divert my attention elsewhere! Have just checked eBay though, and 7 out of my latest 15 listings have bids, with 2 items looking very like a bidding war may well ensue since I've had several messages asking for overseas delivery.

I meant to say in my post last night, lovely to see you back MMTWGR, hope you'll keep popping in for coffee!

Saucy, you take care of yourself, we can wait for the notebooks, do as your OH tells you!

Munchki, I know I've said it to you on msn already, but I just want to repeat that although I can't physically do anything to help, please remember we are all here, and we are your friends. Stop apologising for posting rants/dribble on here, it's very important that you remember we are here to support you, not judge you. x

Hugs for everyone else, sorry if I haven't commented to you specifically - please be assured that it's not because you're not special too! :D

Oh, before I forget, MONEYMABEL - I 'think' it was you (memory pretty bad lol) who posted your email addy a few million pages back with the intention of deleting it once whoever had posted they'd seen it. I have no recollection of when exactly it was, but I tend to have to catch up on posts later on in the evening, and your email addy was still showing at that point - apologies if you've already deleted it, but it popped into my head you'd maybe forgotten. And if it wasn't you, then sorry :rotfl:
