I am sorry all, I am not in a very good place right now and very low. I really need to decide my next step and running out of time. I know this is not the right place or board to post my thoughts regarding all of this, I am very sorry.I am somebody. I am me. I like being me. And I need nobody to make me somebody! Louis L'Amour0

Nixi, I won't actually be doing it again; I looked at some of the items the first bidder had bought and as well as ladies and scally shoes he'd also bought children's shoes which worried me. Mine didn't actually go to him but...*shudder*. Shouldn't have joked, sorry.
Does anyone know anything about laptops? Like, how best to sell them? I did contact the recycle place but after several emails have giiven up- he asked for the spec and I had to ask how to find this out - it's a reconditioned laptop - and he didn't email me back (possibly taking me for a complete moron lol). Thinking of Ebay?I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick @ss.... and I'm all out of bubblegum.0 -
For anyone who is currently on JSA but looking to go self-employed there is a new grant available of up to £50 pw to help people take the plunge. Heard about it on the radio, more here

Wish they had had this when I first went self-employed - I'd have had far fewer sleepless nights!
munchki, we are all here when you need to vent, but please don't give up hun. We've all seen on here how much you have to offer - it needs you to continue to have self-belief and just one employer to have belief in you. As a PP said, this is the toughest job market we have seen for a long time, so don't think it reflects on you, because it really doesn't.0 -

Oh munchki - you have not upset or angered anyone on this thread as far as I can see.
Did you look into the clinical support worker/ nursing auxillary stuff. I am applying for it here - they are really short staffed.
Also as much as I don't want to do it I am delivering the local free paper. No interview - just came round and did the contract with me.
Not great pay and quite hard work but it is some money coming in.
I don't know if this is an inappropriate thing to say but maybe spend a bit of time looking at your worse case scenario and work out how YOU can be ok even if it happens. I don't mean that in some trite hippy way but actually what would happen and how could you physically and mentally be ok. If you can truly get a picture of how that may be - however dire you think it could get if you know that there are things you can do to be ok in the most basic of ways then maybe you can release some of the tremendous pressure that comes because you HAVE to get a job or these things will happen.
Sorry if that sounds wrong.
Jo x
Jo, I know this is going to sound daft or trite, but I am already in that place, I really dont see how it can get any worse than what it already is.I am somebody. I am me. I like being me. And I need nobody to make me somebody! Louis L'Amour0 -

old and tarnished would be my preferance, its the character that I think I would find charming, if that makes senseI am somebody. I am me. I like being me. And I need nobody to make me somebody! Louis L'Amour0
