Vent alert:
I am sooo angry and fed up, I have just had another call from my dads rehab centre they expect me to find his ni number (means visiting his flat), phone and arrange a crisis loan for him and collect it today - er HELLLO I have a life and 2 small children. GGRRRRRRRRRRR! It can wait, this is half term with my children, I don't get this time back. I hate being told 'you do it NOW' - I nearly completely lost it.Life is a work in progress0 -
thanks, sure I can't tempt you with the cat! lol
Not the fashiony sort myself, should be 23yrs old, prime of my life, but you re more likely to find me in jeans and a jumper, no makeup and hair tied up!
Tis very pretty, never get the chance to wear anything like that tho! Be good for prom season that is coming up!turn £100 into £10000 in 2010 member #16 £567.68/£10,000 -I'm a wiggly worm, I'm a wiggly worm, how do you do, I love you, I'm wiggly worm!0 -
Another note to new challengers - you don't have to aim for the 10k figure, just pick whatever you think is realistic. Also, it doesn't matter if you don't reach the target, the important thing is having a go. So if at the end of the year you haven't earned what you wanted, don't consider it a failure. Anything you earn is something you didn't have before!0

nixinixi - bless, vent away! did you manage to find out what it ws you needed to do to get hold of PoA? or did the bank let you withdraw funds? Crisis loans are a bit of a pain, had to get one myself once, they make you wait on hold for the best part of the morning, and if you are ucky enough to get one you then have to wait until something like 3pm, travel to the largest Job centre in a 20 mile radius, queue with dubious people that won't stop swearing wven though your kids are there, and even then they give you a giro, so you then have to join the post office queue with the same dubious people, only then can you say you have the loan of about £100, which they then deduct half of your benefits for the next month to get back.
Good luck, thats if you can get someone to answer the phone.

for £3.20 each, should I go for it, can't do it til next week and I get some money together, but min order is £800. OH is due a £1000 payout from the windfarm to buy his rights to fish where they are putting it. Am going to butter him up to loan me the money, but am in real need of an objective opinion. Am I going to be doing right by getting the lot? I think so, but they say that judgement is always clouded when it come to yourself.
It is a mixed lot of 314 pcs btw, only 12 of these dresses, but other items are similarly resaleable though.
Mambury, where did you get your mannequin from, think I may need to invest in one, hope I am not treading on your toes btw!
Also, decided the toyshop may be a good idea, but to be safe, I would need about £40k start up capital, so that is well and truly on the back burner, but jsut say that I were to open up a shop or market stall, could I do that on ex chain store stock, as long as I didn't say where it came from?
Cheers
I really like them and think they are very saleable ,dont have much experiece with selling clothes though I have to admit! but going on what my niece where to proms and ballroom parties, I think they would be very saleable.
I sold wooden, traditional toys etc from an online business which I closed 2 years ago, my downfall was not enough capital to get me going and it swallowed all my money and therefore ended up not having enough money and struggling to pay bills etc which were coming from the business. If id have had a good 10k to start with Id have been absolutely fine. It is a great business to go into with the capital there first and I did thoroughly enjoy it (I sold online and at major craft and premium fairs) I did want to expand to a bricks and mortar shop and still would like to in the future, but yep I think your right and 40k would be needed to start this project.
Sorry I have waffled on lol!Loves the freebies forum :j

Thanks mummy! Really all that for £100  I am not doing that. Signature was refused, as I knew it would be, so we need money to cover him each week until the power of attorny is settled which could be weeks, (takes the bank 7-10days after the poa is granted!)/ So probably need £4-500.
I saw on the website you can print the POA forms off online so planning on doing that this afternoon and finding out more about it. The other option is when my OH is paid we don't pay off our credit card and leave some cash available and which we use and I then get back once I have POA - sounds much easier, problem is thats about 10 days away and they want me to 'sort it today'. Think they may have to wait like the rest of us! Thank you!Life is a work in progress0 -
