anyone have any thoughts on this :-/ some of the items are worth at least £20. am having a bit of a dilemma trying to work out what my maximum bid should be. Need to decide before it ends as I get a bit auction crazy!!

I would go with the minimum you would get for each item, you said £10 in an earlier post so a return of £760, Ideally at least a 25% return on what you spend. So £570 Max bid. If some of the items do sell over then BONUS!! lol This is what I would do personally HTH xx

I am aching from head to Toe, don 't know who said advanced spinning was a good idea, especially when I haven't been the gym for years! Still have a wee bit of a headache. Just gonna have a brew an see if I can find anymore infor on ebay xxx

Mabel - I haven't commented because I am not brave enough to even consider what you are doing lol!

I would consider what profit margin I'd want for all the work, using a realistic selling price...so if you want 100% mark up then £350 would be your max at £10 per item selling price.

Don'r forget to allow for cost ect as well, which my simplified example doesn't lol! But work out your min you would want to make add on potential costs and then you can hopefully have a clearer picture of your max bid, and start lower!

If you have spotted an opportunity and have the money to invest and make that return I am in awe..... go for it, well up to your max bid anyway!

Not sure any of that makes sense lol! But I have children hollering at me from all directions 'mummy, where are my clothes?' er in your wardrobe where they always are !!!!! grrrrr

OTHERS HAVE SAID IT MORE CLEARLY AND SUCCINCTLY AND QUICKER THAN ME LOL!! (sorry didn't mean to shout!!, but to lazy to retype!)

OK, guys, DD has a party today so I am on pick up and drop off duty. Unfortunately about an hour round trip, so will mess up the day right-royally! Then the van *may* need picking up today, so I need to be available later to go and fetch it (another hour round trip). So not a lot will be happening here today.

While I'm off on party duty I will -
    * go round the local charity shops to see if I can spot any bargains
    * check out the parking situation near proposed new venue (want to be able to sort change next week, if it is happening)
    * book hall for seminar (phone)
    * book catering for seminar (phone)
    * return some outstanding calls (phone)
    * sort out hall problem for next week (phone)
    * sort out problem with my debit card (phone)

In addition today I'll do the paperwork that has been sitting waiting to be done, send off the replacement cheque to the baby show, check whether I've received a payment that is in dispute.

That should keep me busy today. Doubtless at some point I'll disappear off to do some crafty stuff too.

Personally I use stormwire (an american company) for my hosting etc. I think I paid £60 or 70 for the year. Included in this is loads of templates and 2 seperate versions of a shopping cart(cube cart and another one) which are very easy to set up and included in the package. The techincal support when I have needed it has been great and I can honestly say I have no regrets. I know several people that use them as well and have done for years, this is my first year with them. I have used others as well such as Heart Hosting(also have all things built in) and a few free ones over the years. it really does come down to personal preferance and what it is that you really want.
