Can taste the tomatoes still warm out of the greenhouse mmmmmmmmm! must get some seeds planted inside for the likes of spring onions and radishes and a few lettice - choked on the price in mrT's today hope i dont choke on the lettice too! am going to try carrots in old drainpipes painted and make them different heights and fill with sand (seemingly stops the bugs) and hopefully will look quite effectiveand take up little spaceskintbint x

Skintbint, you are named and shamed for posting on the Other Thread - unless you were doing so with a sense of irony
Got another idea for you, Saucy - I have a notebook with cutouts on the cover and another coloured page underneath. I can see something like a light blue cover with a large cutout heart showing silver paper, I'm sure you can think up lots more great ideas!0 -

Skint, last year we planted tatties in the tubs that the supermarkets use for holding their fresh flowers - just went and asked when we were shopping, and they gave us about 10 of them for free! Was a great success too I might add. I'm trying to remember where we planted the carrots the year before, they were scrummy too - your drainpipe idea is a brilliant one! I do love the smell of freshly howked tatties and carrots!
Hey Amber, how you doing honeybun? I think skint should get 20 lashes!!

Went out with OH to try and find some food, as we can't cook after 11pm. The drive throughs and restaurants are down the same road, which is closed tonight...
So we've ordered Dominoe's although not pizza as we are getting a bit sick of that (Hee hee, we have a great loyalty bonus now!) and will have to hope we get down there before they ring the doorbell.
Amber, you have been an ideas godsend tonight. Thank youSignature down for maintenance :rotfl:0 -

morrisons here sell the flower buckets but 8 for 99p i think.love the taste of fresh tatties and the carrots are totally different - you can taste the soil if that makes sense. spent many an october holiday tattie howking loved it when you threw the tatties into the bonfire and they were burnt black and you had to peel the charred (cremeated) inch thick skin off themskintbint x
