Yeah you are right it is very hard, I love my job it's one of those that you have to love it to do it, but management are making things very hard. There has been a really big decision made involving me and they haven't had the decency to let me know, I think I know which way it will have gone and if it has despite my love for the job I will have to walk as it is against all of my principles. Sorry for the crypticness of post but can't say too much with this being public x

I know where you are coming from. This is a rotten position to be in, their loss if you leave.

so is it the staff or kids that are the biggest problem.....from what you have said I guess the staff but it should be the kids!!! what age/subject hun? You have my respect I think it is a hard but v worthwhile job!!

Def staff. Secondary - IT believe it or not! Is worthwhile, have done this for years now. However, I did lots of things before teaching and I dont (like many) feel welded to the job - don't want to get nasty, stale and resentful like I have seen others do.

I have done my bit and there's lots I would like to try, esp as its likely to be much less stressful!

    xx

    I am a teacher

aaahhhh... I have an idea of where you are coming from Truly... I am a school goverenor in a tiny school of 17 pupils so I spend a lot of time with the teachers. Oh, and I have agreed to volunteer at the school for an hour or so each week too.....

would you try primary? I have a talked to a few teachers that have switched from secondary to primary and find it more rewarding....

Governor bit is easy, lol, I was on the board of my DD's school - completely different to the experience of working with educationalists day to day.

Many are completely arsey with non teaching staff if they perceive them as overstepping the mark - they won't tell you what the mark is, though . . .:rotfl:

Primary sounds nice but I need a complete change I think, really want to work for myself.

  • Truly I take my hat off to you, I don't think I could cope with kids these days, especially at secondary, most of them seem to have absolutely no respect and it winds me up!

Shell, I really do hope all works out for you *hug*

Oooo long lie, think I'll have on of those tomorrow! Got myself a lovely new feather downie the other night, and snuggling in is just bliss, I've never been so keen to go to bed!!

    Toots x

Hi Rosie, nice to see you again. I know what you mean about Feb, here's hoping March is a brilliant month!

Hi everyone its been a bit busier on here tonight - or maybe seems like more because I haven't been able to get to computer!!
Shell I put up a link for you to some kind of craft fair a bit back. don't know if you saw it. was in red.
if not it was on full circle arts website under opportunities I think. may not be any good but thought I'd mention it.
Em glad you had a great night. Now I want ducks!!!!
oh yeah and chickens and bees!
Done my menu plan for evening meals for march. bit boring and repetitive but at least theres a plan - and a shopping list.
Now have to get my head round some more interesting ideas for me and kids for lunches.
Parcelled up Dh's ebay sales and booked courier for Monday. Thanks to those who suggested this instead of the expensive method dh had listed.
Hales I can't remember what my commitments were for this week but please roll them over to next week!!!
Nixi glad you are sounding happier than yesterday.
Saucy hope you get on ok at the outlaws.
Prob going to bed in a moment but hello to every1 else and hugs wherever they are needed.
    Jo x
