Haha! I left school in 1969 - that probably makes me antique then!:rotfl:
Talking of being a baby boomer - found this link in a magazine - it's the primebusinessclub - a charity founded by Prince Charles to advise and help people over 50 set up as self-employed (one chap was an Ebay trader in specialist cameras!) they will send out a pack of info and the site has a map with local info as well - may help someone - I can't be the only fifty-something here - can I?0 -

can't count me in that group I'm afraid Mrs Money. although I am too old for Princes Trust by a couple of years!!sealed pot challange #572!Garden fund - £0!!:D£0/£10k0 -
I was thinking about the Princes Trust, but I didn't know if it was worth it. They have no money to give to start ups at the moment, so it's just for business advice, and you do have to go to a three day conference in Coventry, which isn't far away but is hard to get too especially with my conditions how they are. It is something I'm considering though.
Have forgotten my PIN number. OH usually uses it but says he can't remember, and I can't either...hassle!Signature down for maintenance :rotfl:0 -

I put books, dvds and the portable hard drive on amazon and it automatically puts in the postage. As the hard drive had various postage costs offered by different sellers, I didnt understand, but I dont understand a lot these days !
I put another item on yesterday and it appears to be showing free postage? I have tried to add it in my basket to see total cost but because I am the seller it wont let me !
I cant see how I amend the postage and it talks about my settings for shipping?? I cant find anything about that - amend it due to weight and stuff???

Its the second one for £6.99
Could someone try adding it to their basket and see what it says please?
Sorry
Hi MMTWG it is just coming up £6.99 (no postage)Jan £10 a day £326.75/£3100 -
Hey guys, I have a question, what name do you use to sell on Amazon? Do you use your real name or do you use a nick or made up "company name"? Just wondering if one works better than another?
Ah nevermind, I compromised.
Well, I've finally started an Amazon seller account and listed my first item! whheeeeeeeee. So much easier than ebay to list stuff. I'm going to whack oin a pile of DVDs later today.
I also cancelled a direct debit from my bank account. I've been meaning to do it for a year. I was paying for a service I didn't like or want but I was too chicken to phone them up and cancel. Today I suddenly realsied I don't have to call them up, I am allowed to cancel the direct debit my end and that's it....hopefully.
Feeling betetr today and it's off grocery shopping with Mum in an hour. Lots of the things I like are on special so that should be good too.0 -

Casey- your website is lovely- really pretty and well set out :-)
haven't done much on the moneymaking side today been doing loads housework .... Boring. Still my big investment buy from Ebay should be here tomorrow morning so I'll be busy listing then.
Update on annoying remote control car buyer- offered him a refund if he sent back the car and the replacement battery I sent him.... Guess what? He's tried the battery again and now it works. He's left glowing feedback. What a pillock!0 -
Just found this as well - it's some kind of deal between Google, BT and Enterprise UK to set businesses up with FREE websites - may be useful?
You get:
A free web address: Choose from any available ‘.co.uk’ domain name. If the name you want is already taken, the system will suggest another.
A free web site: You complete a short form online and and the system promises will create a customised, professional looking website, tailored to their business type
Free online marketing: All sites created will be listed for relevant queries in the Google search engine.
You can preregister your interest on the site HERE.
I think it may be quite new - they don't seem to have completed their 0800 telephone number yet! It seems that it is supposed to be launched in February - can't see any lists of events though and seeing as Feb is nearly over - not very encouraging - still may be worth it - it is free after all!0 -
Just had reception trying to get in, to show more people around. We cancelled on Saturday due to the way they were treating us, and that we are getting nothing for it and they don't care about us. Now OH has gone out and I'm feeling worried...
I don't seem able to focus today. I've made another notebook, it just needs to be bound which I will do tonight, but I'm feeling sick and stressed and frustrated. I've got so many letters I need to write but I don't want to write any, and so much I need to do....
I feel terrible at the momentSignature down for maintenance :rotfl:0
