2cats - think that price is fine but personally I would knock a penny off and say £6.99! Just sounds alot cheaper even though only a penny - physcological barriers and all that!

Now I know what batting is....didn't like to ask!!!!

Mummy - I think you are talking fabric art, just simple and uncomplicated! Just googled and some are very OTT!

    I dribble and I'm proud

Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all.
  • Got woken up by foster kitty miaowing at 4am - she kept it up for an hour until she realised she wasn't going to get any more attention. I was not happy! have enough trouble waking up these days anyway.

Plan for today - um, don't know.

Hi, haven't got time to read all through the thread for the last day or so (!) but hope everyone's doing well :)

My challenge has gone completely awry; we need to put every penny into paying off the bank overdraft so all the Ebaying money has to go to that :( I've got some craft stuff so will attempt to continue with that but it'll be a piddlingly little amount if I get anything.

Having a horrendous time with OH and I don't know where I am with that either; how do you know what is acceptable as far as criticism goes? Not personal things but how I spend money (er, frugally, mostly) and how I discipline the kids (apparently not enough although my family think I can be too hard on them...and I was brought up pretty strictly...) anyway this doesn't need to be on this board really but it's making it hard for me to think about the 10K challenge anyway.

Anyway just wanted to say I won't have chance to dribble much for a bit, but I hope you all do great and I'll check in soon and hopefully return when I can :) Thank you all, you're wonderful xx xx xx

Was just thinking as I was catching up that I didn't see anything from you! Hope you are doing okay!

Does sound like the two of you are under stress at the moment and sometimes people deal with that in strange ways like taking it out on other things in their life. Just remember how positively you started the year and don't this ruin things for you. Big hugs!! :grouphug:

And don't disappear for too long, ;)

    Worth a lot :)
Can't go away for a bit as 'if I take his kids away I am not to come back'. Just waiting it out really, I am being very calm and trying to empathise but it's hard work. He seems to be trying to reestablish control over his life but this tends to include me a bit too much for my liking. Apparently during the time he's been stoned he has 'let things slide' which includes me wasting 10 quid on a water filter which I haven't used past a couple of weeks and now need to remove from the house as every time he sees it he gets angry. Doodedoo...

Just had a look at fabric art and found this, gorgeous! Any good?

Oh and I get very excited yesterday when I spotted an Ebay shop - someone who has a shop where you take stuff in and they give you 80% of what they think they'll get on Ebay for whatever it is. Spoke to the taxi driver about it and apparently he makes a killing from people who can't/won't Ebay stuff themselves. I was sat in the car thinking ooh, wait till I tell the dribblers lol :rotfl:

    I say I won't dribble but I can't help myself...:o
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick @ss.... and I'm all out of bubblegum.

Paula, big hugs hun. xx Please pop back and stay in touch even if you aren't making headway on the challenge, we maybe able to help in other ways too. Everyone is willing to offer support through life in general as well as through the challenge...afterall the two go hand in hand really don't they?

Also - I don't know your situation but I think you should trust your own instinct/judgement, if you are feeling any criticism is overstepping the mark then it probably is, and when it comes to your children, you do your best and that is all you can do and if it doesn't suit other people, well tough! Sorry that is my two penneth! Take care hun, hope all works out soon and pop back and see us as soon as you can, anytime you need a virtual hug we are here!

  • Have just had a good look at your web site Amber! Yikes ... no idea where you got the idea but heck there are some random people in the world. Lol. Its easy to navigate though, and clear, and I like how the dominance comes across in your text ... okay not "like" like lol :o just incase someone was unclear ... the photos are good. Have you used lots of key words/ phrases for those kinds of sites that mean it will come up in searchs and get lots of views?

I see it is going to turn into a blog as well, which would be a good way to work in those key words I guess ...

Good luck with it all ... and just how good are you at Scrabble?! :p

  • http://www.we-e-bay.com/faq.php there is one here,

    info:

    Q. Who are We - e - Bay?

    A. We - e - Bay is Lowestoft’s only eBay seller, helping you to sell your unwanted items on eBay. You supply the goods, we do the rest... you get paid.
We can also use eBay for businesses and charities wishing to sell excess inventory or returned items.
    Q. Why use We - e - Bay?

    A. You can either drop your items at our shop or we can arrange collection. Our goal is to provide you with the most convenient way to supply us with your unwanted items and to completeley manage the sale of those items. The only thing you have to do after we've agreed to sell your items is to bank your cheque.
We're experienced eBay sellers with positive feedback and a commitment to ensuring smooth transactions. We choose the optimal price and the optimal listing for your item and since we take a share of the proceeds of your sale, it's in our best interest to get you the best possible price.
    Q. Which items are best to sell through We - e - Bay?

    A. Well, pretty much anything really, as long as the sale of your item is not prohibited. There are well in advance of 50,000 eBay categories!

    Q. What does We - e - Bay charge for its service?

    A. Please see Fees Page.
    Q. When Will I Get Paid?

    A. Usually, around 6-8 weeks after receipt of your items. It might take a little longer for complex batches or items. Payment is by cheque.

Rip off if you ask me, but there is loads in the shop
