O2 2mths free PLUS £70 cashback

O2 is giving two months free on its fast unlimited download Premium home broadband package. Plus get it via comparison site SimplifyDigital* before next Tue 16 Feb and you get £70 cashback.

I signed up for this O2 deal today - with the cashback and 2 free months it works out at £2.50/mth. I can expect around 4GB download speed.
Compared to my old BT account where I paid £25/mth for 1.5 to 2GB download I am expecting to a very happy user for 12 months. Even beats my current provider BE by £5/mth.
I hope Martin had got it right. Almost too good to be true!!

I saw this deal (well the one Bribin is talking about in his post) on Martin's email. I'm currently with Be broadband. I've heard O2 and Be are essentially the same company now. Does anybody know what my chances of getting the cashback are?

They use the same equipment so from that point of view they are the same. However they are not the same company so you will be fine to get the cashback from joining O2.

BE are owned by O2 but appear to operate as a seperate company

So I would suggest giving it a go!

Currently an out of contract O2 customer and have no problems stating with them,does anyone know if i would be able to get this deal?Would be great if i could.

Do you mean out of contract O2 mobile customer od out of contract O2 BB customer?

Yes i meant out of contract BB cutomer but do have O2 mobile phone also.

So you are a current O2 BB customer but just over 12 months so not tied in?

The offer says an active BT-compatible line is needed, it doesn't mean I would have to switch to BT line rental does it? I could go for the Post Office Home Phone package or something?

Also, do you have to be an O2 mobile phone on contract or can it be PAYG to get the cheaper monthly price?

Yes you could.

PAYG is fine but you need to top up with a minimum of £10 every 3 months.
