I suppose it would depend on the situation and how well you knew the couple. Personally i would approach the offender first and make it known that you know what they are doing and it isnt on :-)

    Depends...

if the wife is a close friend of yours then I would be tempted to drop a few hints to make her suspicious and ask the right questions herself.

I wouldn't tell her outright unless I had the private detective's evedience in my hand to give her.;)

no i wouldn't as you don't know if she already knows or the agony you could be starting if she doesn't. Depending on my relationship with the couple the only thing I would do was let him know I know and let him do the confessing.

I know its hard to watch a friend heading for a "car crash" but I still think its best not being the messenger. Why not tell him you know and if he doesn't fess up in a week then you will tell her?
  • I would first speak with the person who was doing the cheating and tell him you know.

If he hasn't done anything about stopping the affair or telling the wife I would tell him you will speak to the wife

It depends who I am friendliest with, the bloke or his wife. If she's a friend of mine, I wouldn't hesitate to tell her.

Had a similar situation once, a friend saw my then husband messing about with a girl at a party (kissing etc) - apparently he did it all the time, but nobody wanted to be the person to tell me, until my friend saw it and although he was a friend of us both, his loyalties were to me first.

It is very hard to read your posts as you write half the sentence in the title box and the other half in the text box. Why????

If your husband was doing the nasty with someone else would you want someone to tell you?

if i was the wife i would absolutely and definitely want to know. you may have to expect some fall out for being the messenger but at the same time i think it is totally the right thing to let her know. just make sure that you do it in the best manner possible. also that you know for sure he definitely is cheating and won't be able to wriggle out of the accusations.
