mrbadexample, heated propagators are only foe germination, as soon as things sprout you should take them out, otherwise you will cook them

I know now. I found out yesterday from another thread.*
It might explain some previous lack of success though.
*This is a perfect example of why you lot should keep your eye on me - I have a tendency to do stuff wrong.
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
Are you going to try potatoes too MrBE ?
I didn't see them on you list...
They are a doodle to grow

Yes, my mate's given me half a dozen Maris Peer seed potatoes, so I'll have a bash at those. They're chitting at the moment. One of them's got a fairly large soft area, shall I bin it or plant it anyway?

I've just planted two each of 4 tomato varieties - Russian Purple, Millefleur, Amish Paste and Orange Banana.
Trouble is, I'm away this weekend, so they might suffer in the heated propagator while I'm gone.
I erred. The rake in flowers were in home bargains, not wilko's.
I have been advised that lavender (as suggested) & jasmine are good varieties for bees!
My tomatoes still haven't sprouted & it has been 10 days now. It is becoming tormenting!:(It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

I did mine in tubs last year....
I put 4 seed spuds in one pot... the pots are 50cm size.
I have heard/seen others do 3 in a compost bag, then another 3 further up the bag, if you see what I mean
I bought a couple of those potatoe bags from B&M the other day.. 1.99
And the seed potatoes came from Poundland this year... last year a mate gave me some, to see how I would get on
Not sure about the one thats gone soft....
Is the bit thats not gone soft, got a shoot on it ?
I would be inclined to cut off the soft bit, if it has... but sorry, I don't know the text book answer
