Vodafone Changing early upgrade period.

Since when has being able to upgrade early formed part of any contact with Vodafone?0

Never did trust that last 60 days thing, glad I managed to persuade them to give me the reduction in my line rental for the full term of the contract:beer: (and I have it in writing in case they try claiming I don't have the final 2 months at a reduced rate)
Only 10 days I guess, but that would still be £10 extra on a £30 a month contract0 -
So the customer is supposed to have ethics, but not the big business.....ok......
Fact is, at the end of the day, this change will cost me money and will make money for vodafone, putting me at a disadvantage.
What I was intending was all people (customers and business) should behave ethically, unfortunatly just looking at the number of "how do I cancel my contract because I want a new phone" threads it'a clear customers don't either.
How will this cost you money? You can't CANCEL at 60 days to go you can only get a new phone on a new contract, you'd still be paying a monthly fee which admittedly may increase or decrease, but when I've tried before I can only get a discount on line rental in the last 30 days. Before that I can get a new phone and sign up to a new contract but not a reduction.0 -

I think the OP was looking to cancel because of this change to the contract rather than suggesting that you could cancel 60 days prior to the contract ending. (I may well be wrong!)
It would be up to the OP to say that they felt they had suffered a "significant disadvantage" and persuade Vodafone likewise.
I doubt they would agree.
(I did manage this with o2 but they seriously screwed my contract and I was out of pocket financially so it was pretty clear cut)We all evolve - get on with it0 -

I understand that, My thought was they are only loosing out at most on a tenner over the contract due to the change.
They could upgrade at 60 days now it's 50, they CAN'T cancel at that point so it's not like they are saving 50 days line rental. They'll still be paying the line rental they can just possible upgrade 10 days earlier then they can now.0 -
The difference between 50 and 60 days is almost 20% thats substantial in my opinion.
Totally irrelevant.
Early upgrades have never formed part of any contract.
You agreed to pay X for Y months in return for Z inclusive minutes and texts - this change has no bearing on that whatsoever as the amount of days you upgrade early is added on to the end of your new contract anyway.0 -

However if the OP feels financially disadvantaged in some way then they can pursue this.
Personally I think they are on a hiding to nothing but you never know.We all evolve - get on with it0 -
Im all for trying to get any advantage over any big company who's purely in it for the profit - I personally dont think theres anything wrong with this from either side although I hate it when on forums such as here when users try to disguise their greed and justify their reasons for trying to cancel their contracts for anything other than simply trying to get an advantage over the company.0
