All this talk of dog crap but not one mention of my favourite hate...The damned idiots that scoop the crap into a poly bag then hang the damn bag from a bush.
Or dump it into the nearest nettle patch, which is great till winter and the pile of crap bags are exposed.
It would be better if the idiots left it on the ground.

The cut through at the end of our street is known as dog s*** alley. Huge piles of the stuff! The council recently sent leaflets to every house in the area because of the problem.
Due to the fact that I am owned by a bratty little yorkie/pom cross who likes to pick fights with rotties I usually take him for his evening walk when its dark, we are the source of much amusement as I hunt around with my poop bag and torch trying to find the rabbit dropping size results of his efforts!! :o
p.s daughters named him Busta the chav dog and gave him his own facebook page where he plays poker all day and is in an 'open relationship' !!!

We don't usually have a problem with dog sh*t until the snow started - i don't know if the owners are reluctant to scoop in the snow, or if they think it's invisible - it isn't.

Pitbulls and Staffordshire bull terriers are related breeds which is why they're likely to have similar sounding barks/growls.

I don't think your theory has any basis in fact. I have an English Bull Terrier and his bark is nothing like that of the other EBT that lives down the road. If you were blindfolded you'd have no idea they were the same breed. And they're actually related.
  • I don't know if I loathe dogs or their owners more.
Of course SOME owners 'pick up' (And everyone on here for example SAY they do), but there are a huge amount who don't.
Our little local beach would be a lovely spot if it weren't for dog owners and their darling pets - as soon as the tide's out there's crap everywhere.
The council is thankfully about to ban dogs from the beach permanently; perhaps the owners will like their own gardens being fouled for a change!

Guns are banned in this country as well, but people know what they look like.

Guns are not banned in this country, you do however have to have a license for them, but i do agree that it is difficult to differenciate one bark from another.

Having seen the damage that pit bulls can do to children and adults alike then the Banning of them was the best move, however there are other bigger animals like Mastiffs that can do equally as much damage yet are still legal. Its the way they are trained and controlled that is the key to all of this,i see no end of dogs off of there leads being walked not in parks in the street,i think that this should be outlawed.

I love dogs, and cats but I love humans more. Cleaning up after your dog is not only good manners but extremely important in order to protect people from being infected with the eggs from the worm Toxicara Canis present in dog poo. Children are most vulnerable to this simply because they tend to play where selfish dog owners like to walk their dogs and don't clean up after them.

  • I don't know if I loathe dogs or their owners more.

That's a bit harsh Norma, surely there's no need to loathe all dogs and all dog owners just because some are irresponsible. Do you not have any family or friends who own dogs? Do you loathe them as well?
  • and then there are those owners whose dogs are so WELL BEHAVED that they do not need to put them on a leash whilst walking them down the streets.

The owners walk ahead and the dog waddles along behind them, leaving piles of un-noticed muck every few hundred yards.

If you point this out, the owner declares:-

"Oh dear, I always pick up their mess"

    yeh - RIGHT!
I am a cow so cannot speak Bullshine but I do recognise its smell when I come upon it.
  • Horrible stinking, shi!tting, barking, biting things.

Stinking: Yes if you don't bath them!

Sh!tting: Yes, but don't you do that too?!!! (Granted, not on a pavement - I hope! - but if I could train my dogs to use our bathroom I would...)

Barking: Not if they're trained properly - my dogs bark on command/when playing, and not just at random.

Biting: Again, not if they're trained properly - if you were to put your hand into either of my dogs mouths, they open wider because they KNOW teeth should never touch skin.
