Busy busy today

Girls have six friends downstairs eating curry or breaded chicken and it's very loud
DD1 has had a lovely day today and the excitement is building for tomorrow when there will be 12 of them on our day out
I am tired now though. I think it will be a long weekend
but at least they are at an age where I can ignore them
Hope everyone else is ok

Did make it back in, how rare!

Been a productive but quiet afternoon, got some of the to-do list done here and then popped down to Mr. T's for some baking apples for tomorrow *fingers crossed* - have had some of 'that' turkey on tiger rolls for tea. . . . we do love our tiger rolls
Would like to say there is a lie in in store for the a.m. but I'm trying to get my backside out of bed before 7:30 most every morning. I find my day runs better and I get much more accomplished if I'm up somewhere between 6:30 & 7:30. Any earlier and I'm finished by 2pm - any later and I have such a time to "get going". Must be an age thing
Off to get some slobbin' clothes on - have the soaps AND Lost to get through . . . rough, but someone's got to do it!...kadeeae, I have only just started sewing again after YEARS :rotfl:of not doing any, the books I got from Amazon are the sew pretty homestyle, crafting springtime gifts and christmas crafting gifts books they were recommended on the sewing forum. They look easy but time will tell :rotfl:
Thanks, I'll have a look at those, maybe get them from the library first
Have a good (or at least better!) night everybody.0 -
Pipkin - 12 on an outing!!! Gosh you are brave

BB - hmmmm pass me a glass I need one
Just put down DD - as soon as I mentioned bedtime she ran off screaming
Screamed all the way up the stairs, given her a dummy - hope she's not too difficult as I am doing bedtime on my own since H won't be back til at least 8.30pm to 9pm. I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

just checked the online banking:eek: not good - dont know how we'll struggle through till my payday on the 25th as DH only got the very basic SSP. Thats the trouble with living hand to mouth as such - it only takes one disaster and you're in the sh*t.

I so know where you are coming from, OH was off work for 9 months and at the beginning I was unemployed, I had to turn down 1 job as couldn't leave him, but then things got a tad too sticky so I took the next one, turned out ok as they took more notice when he was left on his own and couldn 't do anything for himself.Penny-Pincher!! wrote: »Have about 25 eggs and was wondering how easy a lemon drizzle cake is to make as Ive heard so many say about it before. Could they be frozen? Any easy Coffee and walnut cake recipes?
Lemon drizzle cake is very easy and it freezes well, I was a bit worried about the drizzly bit on the top drying out but it was fine and yummy
I wrapped mine in baking parchment and foil.
I've just done my first multi quote - well done me! :rotfl::rotfl:
Not posted a lot lately as its been same old, same old. OH's new job is going ok and he has more nights out, so cooking tea is very hit and miss, last weekend I cooked a load up to stick in the freezer so on the odd night he comes home I have something......and what did he want the other night when he came home? egg on toast :rotfl: so much for my forward planning, still will get something out for tomorrow so I don't have much to do.
We're going to an evening do for a wedding on Sunday, ok for OH he has the day off Monday, I will have to be good and not partake of too many glasses of wine.
I also have some crochet to finish of this weekend, its a cape with a hood for my DGD2, for her christening, its been hard going as the hook is the thickness of a pin:eek: then have to find a bootie pattern to match, I will be using a larger hook for them :rotfl:
I fear my DW has broken
this has upset me as all my married life I wanted one and ex OH said we didn't need one, my now OH thought there was no reason why we shouldn't and after him/kids/grandkids/parents etc it has been the love of my life, am hoping he may be able to sort it out this weekend.
Enough of my waffling, I don't post for ages then hog half a page :rotfl:hope everyone has a good weekend and that any poorlies start feeling better

Hi All,
Late post from me - had quite a traumatic day. Went to doctors last night for a check up and to cut a long story short, he did a couple of scans and thought that he could see some "retained products" in me. Devastated was not the word to describe me after he said that, I was borderline hysterical. Anyway, DH and I went along to the hospital today and had an internal scan by a proper gynae lady and she told me that there was nothing remaining and to go away on my holiday and enjoy myself. I'm so relieved. DH just conked out this afternoon and slept for a few hours - he's been so strong for both of us. Finally feel like we can move on though now and actually feel like I might be able to sleep tonight without the aid of tablets!
Needless to say OS was limited today, but am hoping to do some baking tomorrow for the first time in months
Hope everyone is well, hugs where wanted/needed xxSometimes that mountain you've been climbing is just a grain of sand,

Evening folks.
A swift, and very late, post today - Mr LW is about to start his WiiFit+ exercises, so no doubt I shall need to provide (im)moral encouragement.:D
Sandy you really are getting the bum end of life just now. I do hope it starts treating you better soon. (((HUG)))
PenPin (((HUG))) for you; is your liquid morphine called Oramorph? If it is, I have this, and have had no problems with being spacey on it (well, no more spacey than I usually am anyway).
We've had a tasty HM pizza for dins; Flylady list has been completed; Mr LW is on call all weekend, and I've now run out of news, so I shall bid you all a good night and a pleasant weekend.:DIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Evening all. I'm at work now :-) I got my baking done this afternoon but now I'm shattered and have a 12hour shift to do!!! I also started making some chutney but ran out of energy to finish it (and the same with the washing up!!!). I'll have to finish the chutney tomorrow before I go to OH's. WE're going out for tea for his Dad's b-day and then on Sunday we're having the M&S dine in valentines meal so i get a weekend off!
Have a good weekend everyone xx0 -
Good evening all,
Quick one from me today (i heard that sigh of relief :rotfl: )
Feel like i have never stopped today, had three parent/teacher consultations at two different schools all well with all three children being well above average across the board and my eldest with predictions of A-A* Grades at GCSE if he carries on the way he is doing now :T .
The rest of the day has been spent stretching the rubber chicken cooked yesterday, made a large curry which did us all tonight and have three portions ready for the freezer, and made a huge chicken casserole for the freezer as the kids are going to their grans until monday.
Also made 2 apple, cinnamon and sultana crumbles....1 and a half of which are cooling for the freezer now.
Productive day all in all, long may it continue.
Hope all are well, hugs to those in need, Will try to catch up fully over the weekend when the kiddies have gone xxI will save my tesco £1 savings stamps this year! .......so far = £50 (full card#1)
Card #2 £6. I will not be skint at Chistmas this year!
Total £560 -

Thankfully they are all of an age where they can look after themselves.
I just need to shout 'behave!' every now and then
