Morning all
It's my last day at work for a whole week
as much as I love my job, it's always nice to have time off! Thankfully all systems are back to normal and we didn't lose any emails.
I'm taking my nan out for dinner tonight, my parents are coming too (but I'm not paying for them!). My nan is off to Australia for 6 weeks on Tuesday, lucky her! I'll also pick up my post from my parents, and I'm very excited cos I order some GHD's and they are there waiting for me
WM went on overnight and is drying on airer. I have so much tidying/sorting out/filing paperwork/recycling to sort out this weekend, but I'm out having hair cut and watching rugby on Saturday so that wipes out that day! But it will all be sorted by Sunday evening.
Have a good day all

Morning all!
I just cannot seem to get in here more than a couple of times a week and it's hard to keep up with what's going on with who (whom? lol). Will try harder in the weeks to come!
Will be having a bit of 'quiet time' then and shall send the good vibes your way!Money_saving_Diva wrote: »....Could I ask for some positive vibes around 1430 for our meeting with the OT/Social worker lady today please? Would be very grateful. We need the outcome to be the way we want it to be. Thank you.
Are the books for experienced sewers or are you a newbie hart? Just curious as I'm a sewing 'newbie' and am currently on the lookout for inspiration - small, easy ditty's for beginners . . . ....My sewing books arrived yesterday so cannt wait to get started
....
for taplady, the stress of it all can get to you I know.
Lasagna and veg for dinner, would like to get some baking done this weekend, just feel so . . . . BLAH  Certain it's a "February" thing, roll on Spring! Had a nice surprise from ASDA in the delivery yesterday. Had ordered a cheapie (but British!) beef joint (1.1kg) that I was going to cut into cubes and freeze. It was £4/kg - they were out of those and substituted a 1.6kg chunck of silverside :j The silverside was over £14 . . . . which I got for £4.12 the price of my original joint. I'm lovin' this price match stuff and have made out fairly well on it in the last month or so!
I will try (again!) to get back in later, lots of time on the puter this afternoon so may very well make it this time

Hello everyone!
I hope that you're all having a good day? It's a lovely one here, the sun is shining and it's Friday!
Have a good day whatever you're up to!0 -
Hi everyone,
I had a lovely start to the day - a 45minute skype conversation with my dd in Australia. It was especially lovely because she was looking so well, without all the stresses and strains of the last 2 years on her. She's slightly tanned (she's very pale skinned) and it has done wonderful things for her eyes which are already her best feature. She is upset about Alexander McQueen as well (she did some modelling between the ages of 14 & 18 and is still very fashion conscious).
I have big plans for this weekend so I must make a list to prioritise our time. I stepped on the scales this morning and got a real shock so I'm determined to lose weight and try to exercise more before I become a blimp.0 -
Just a quick Hi again before off to work (again lol).
sunnygirl, I know what you had to go through  my poor little dog had an upset tummy last week and although he is usually good 3 mornings in a row I had to clean the mat cause he missed the floor :rotfl:.
taplady, it is hard I have been there too but always keep a smile as the only way now is up
.
kadeeae, I have only just started sewing again after YEARS :rotfl:of not doing any, the books I got from Amazon are the sew pretty homestyle, crafting springtime gifts and christmas crafting gifts books they were recommended on the sewing forum. They look easy but time will tell :rotfl:
Loverly wishes to everyone else
I have been told I can now give up working Sat &Sun evenings as at long last they have someone to cover the cleaning :j it's only taken 2 years lol.
Catch you all later
Getting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a time

I'm so fed up, my meds aren't working and I am sick of being treated like a freak, Ds brought his school report home and it's terrible, have been trying to claim on my mortgage cover for the last 3 months and they are still messing me about, DH will be late home from work, will be spending another half term stuck in the house, my boss is getting stroppy about me being off sick and I am sick of being ignored. To make matters worse the veg soup I made for tea with the gammon stock smells like something has died in it.:(Sealed Pot Challenge Member NO. 853 :j0

Sandy - I totally understand where you are coming from as im in a similar situation of limbo. Hugs xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.

I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.

Evening everyone.
Busy day with the kids and mindee. They made Valentines cards using heart shaped and lips/kiss shaped stamps made form potatoes. Good fun albeit a tiny bit messy.
Am cream crackered as DD is being a total MARE about bedtimes/sleeping. She woke last night at 9.30pm and was screaming the place down from 10.30 to nearly midnight. I wanted to throttle her. I'd happily cuddle her to sleep but she won't go off. She either fights to get off your lap or lies in your arms blinking. And she's stopped napping in the day too - honestly how long til exhaustion kicks in
enough of my moaning
Makeshift for tea as H is working late.
Off out tomorrow to birthday party and to pick up some storage unit I bought off ebay for the kids toys.
Managed to do loads in WM today, hope it dries as I have the bedding to do tomorrow.
Not much else in the way of OS I am afraid.
Taplady - hugs to you. I don't have any advice but please feel free to keep talking to us here xx
Diva - How annoying that she cancelled (of course she can't make it) but not nice having to wait another 2 weeks.
Redruby - Hope your poorly throat is feeling better soon.
Sunnygirl - in my mums house those little presents left by pooches are known as "chocolate kisses" :rotfl:
Bargainbird - hope you have a better night sleep xx
Sandy - sorry your arm seems no better and that things seem stressful for you xx
Molly - you should pop over and say hello to the OS meet - I bet they won't bite
Am getting peckish. Think it's going to be poached eggs on toast. Bought a fantastic microwave egg poacher from Tesco for £2 - brilliant and so much easier than doing it the old way. And even better I don't have to resort to scrmabling or frying an egg when I want one :T
Have a good evening.
Edited to add:
tru - awwwww how cute are those chicks
