just checked the online banking:eek: not good - dont know how we'll struggle through till my payday on the 25th as DH only got the very basic SSP. Thats the trouble with living hand to mouth as such - it only takes one disaster and you're in the sh*t.
DH worried enough as it is about his health without the worry of money!
sorry to keep moaning about it but its on my mind a lot obviously.
Awwww sorry to hear its all a bit of a struggle atm, its horrible we have all been there, big hugs to you and yours xx0 -
Morning all
Working today as my boss is away for a long weekend - really don't like working fridays!
Called into Mr A's last night and did shopping but without doing a meal plan first (not good!) but did manage to get some of the fresh mini sausage rolls for 27p for 9 - will do for dinner tonight with chips and beans. Also called in Mr Ts on the way home from work yesterday (had a MS job to do there) and got a real bargain - pizza's were 3 for £5 but I picked up 3 that had been reduced to 95p each but at the till it took off the discount as if they were full price...got 3 pepperoni pizzas for 71p in total :j made them tastier
Finances are completely up the spout and will be for the forseeable! having to lay out for two cars in the space of 3 weeks last month has left big holes. Going to sit down tonight and see where I can make cuts/savings over the next two or three months which should be enough to put me back on track. Payday seems and awfully long way away!
Hope everyone has a good day

Sorry to hear that taplady.
It won't make a difference to your bank balance, but at least you can vent on here, and perhaps take some of the worry off your OH.

Morning all

Just a quickie from me today, busy day at work as I'm meant to be finishing early. Have skim read the posts, and huge hugs to those who need them. :grouphug:
Off to a wedding later today, but beforehand need to sort the kids out and take them to my Mums overnight. Plus need to get ready myself which, believe me, is a job and a half!:eek:
Put the WM on overnight and again this morning, my aim is to make sure it is going all the time I am in the house (and awake!
), as I think it's the only way I'll ever get to the bottom of the washing pile. Did my shopping list last night and ordered my Mr T online delivery for Sunday - that's one less job to do with a hangover (hopefully!) tomorrow. Just need to get my local shop done in the morning and then it's happy days
Will need to meal plan for the next four weeks at some point over the next few days as well. Have big plans for batch cooking soup this weekend, but that might get buried amongst everything else, we shall see.
Have a good day everybody, and a good evening in case I don't get back on later

morning all
there has been some early birds today
Sunnygirl poor you having to wake up to that
Taplady hope things improve , its such a struggle at times. I have found Weezls new challenge a help. Weezl is compiling a recource for lower income families and is aiming to do a months shopping for 4 for £100! :T We have had some unexpected expense with the house this year so far, so I have been trying to cut down as much as possible. I know you are already very OS but it may give you some even cheaper meal ideas . It certainly has for me (((hugs))) to you
day off today, DH and DD's have gone to work/ school so I have a day to myself ( bliss) but they go out of the door and leave a trail of devastation behind them  so I cant settle until its all cleaned up. I have tidied downstairs and hoovered cleaned the kitchen and stairs , just need to tackle the bedrooms and bathroom, I have stripped the beds and one load is done
have a good day everyone xx0 -
Good Morning chums, far too much month left till the end of the month at times isn't there.I bought around £22.00 odd of whoopsied meat yesterday and a few bits and pieces and hopefully I won't go near a shop for the next fortnight.I am definitely shopping from my freezer.I managed to get a huge chicken for £1.89 and cooked it overnight in the Slow cooker I shall save the two breasts, and curry the rest for my eldest DD, as her husband is the only one in their house who likes curry.Once portioned up, there should be at least four decent sized portions for him. I have college this afternoon, but first I am going into the local Brewyers Fayre with a query.
On Wednesday I took my friend there for lunch, its one of those places where you either open a tab up and pay at the end or pay straight away.Well as I wasn't sure if we would be having a pud I gave them my card and said we would order our meal and if we had room we would maybe have a pud afterwards .Everything was fine and last night when I checked the receipts they had charged me £1.00 first, then at the end £22.00 odd for our meal and drinks. I want to know what the £1.00 is for .Not a lot I know, but we had nothing at all apart from the meal and I have the correct bill for that ,surely they don't charge a pound for opening your bill up..Its not so much the pound, its the principle involved getting charged for absolutely nothing. I shall investigate on my way to Gillingham at lunchtime .
Well time to get a move on as I am in need of a cuppa.Slightly warmer today so I may put the washing machine on,take care all

Morning all.........((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))) if you need one.......
Why is it that when they do one job another pops us, this morning we went for a shower and got the low water warning......oh gosh that means K back again!!!
I did not sleep so well last night being on my feet all day meant that my hip protesteth, I should have taken pain killers when I went to bed........
We were thinking about changing the carpet in the second bedroom before DS2 comes next week to put the wardrobe up, till that isl we discovered that there are 3 other carpets underneath........no wonder the door does not open wide!!! its a nasty cord carpet in a horrid dark colour, but I am afraid its staying. I just cannot face tearing up 4 carpets and getting rid of them. I will have to look for a large rug to put on the floor at the side of the bed.
The woodburner was alight as it has been ever since I started building it up last thing at night, so a couple of sticks and a way it went. The house is warming up, it has been empty through the worst of the snow, so got very cold despite the boiler coming on a couple of times during the day to prevent the pipes freezing.
Today we are going to order the vinyl for the bathroon and then head for the woodburner shop in Leith......should be interesting a lot of changes have taken place since we were last in Edinburgh........
Fish and chips tonight, cannot make a crumble, no dishes....hopefully DS2 will manage to get to his sisters to pick them up otherwise I will have to wait until May for her to bring them up.Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0
