The Panasonic Mini DV NVGS35B for £147.99 is a terrific price..shame.it's sold out..I need one to replace my crappy JVC mini DV camcorder. The latter died within 8 months for no apparent reason.I took JVC to Trading Standard to have the camcorder replaced but lost my case...I was gutted..0

Mine showed up Monday morning but I was away on business. Had a brief mess around with it last night and was delighted with the size, features and general build quality. VERY happy.0

On the subject of tapes...
I've been looking around and have decided to buy some of these

I've gone for the 6 pack, which works out at £10 delivered... I should get them either tomorrow or the day after so if anyone is interested I'll let you know what they're like.Librarian: "Ook ook ookity OOK OOK!"

This is a good price...cheapest I can find is usually APR media...£1.53 + postage...I buy 20-30 a time so p&p not too important but for less numbers a great price.
Also, anyone found out if it's DV in/out yet?...it's for a friend so I have not opened it .0 -

Right, as stated I bought the above tapes from the ebay seller. They arrived today, 2 blister packs with 3 tapes on each.
They are Panasonic branded and sealed, 60min SP 90min LP with LinearPlus.
The model is AY-DVM60KS3B.
They appear to be a special panasonic/toyota branded pack, only sales I can find for these on the web price them at £12.99 per pack... plus postage. EXTORTIONATE!
So lets see... £7 plus £3 postage for next day delivery, 6 panasonic DV tapes.
No complaints!Librarian: "Ook ook ookity OOK OOK!"

I would suggest you try something like Pinnacle Studio DV,software versions included with cams rarely have full functionality.zaccy wrote:As previously posted, there is no DV in facility on this (EB) version of the camera.
I am having problems with the editing software. No problems capturing the whole tape then editing what's been recorded from the harddrive but if I build a story line in oder to directly edit and record from the tape, the software fails to find the start frame the tape mechanism whirrs around and in the end nothing is recorded.
Not having DV in is a real pain as I can't re record the tape with the edited version. I've searched around the web and have not found a way of enabling it, as is possible with some camcorders. Very unhappy with the quality of the stills as well.0 -
Windows own "MovieMaker" software is as good as any budget editing packages and is free for xp users (service pack 2 required I believe). As far as DV in is concerned, I can't understand the attraction in this, I want my movies on dvd I can watch on any player or send to family and freinds not back on the camcorder tape. Just my opinion/preference.0
