Digital camcorders at Bargaincrazy

Bargaincrazy have a few digital camcorders in their What's new section. I don't know much about camcorders I have to admit, but two of them seem to be pretty good value as far as I can see:
The Panasonic Mini DV NVGS35B is £147.99, and is supposed to retail at £330: that seems to be confirmed by Argos, who have it at £30 off at £299.99. It has a huge 30x optical zoom but otherwise seems to be a pretty average camcorder in its class - but then £180 off takes into a totally different price bracket and it might be a bargain. It's certainly about as cheap as you can find a Mini DV camcorder in any case. [Edit - showing as sold out as of 4:30pm 13/7/2006, sorry]
The other one that looks worth the money to me is the Sony DCRDVD403E DVD camcorder at £417.99. It seems to be selling at upwards of £600 everywhere else (£709.99 at play.com, though it's no longer available there), and much more in some places.
Maybe someone who knows more than me can comment on whether these two are worthy of being on the Grabbit board. Also, I've never ordered from Bargaincrazy, so I don't know if their service is good or bad, which is probably an important factor in buying equipment like this.
Note that there's also a free delivery code for Bargaincrazy on the codes 'n vouchers board, valid until Sunday 16th July.
Hope this is useful to someone...

Also no expert but loads of info on the Panny here:
http://panasonic.co.uk/camcorders/nv-gs35eb-s/index.htm
It's £429 at Great Universal but they obviously deal in dreamland prices  £148 really does look like a very good price all the same..
PS I've posted a 10% code in the codes section. That would knock almost £15 off the Panny!I spelt my username wrongly on purpose, by the way!0 -
I think it is possible that these have been priced the wrong way around. The Panasonic Mini DV NVGS35B is a far superior cam to the NVGS17...and the pricing description indicating the amount of discount would confirm that if you look at GUS their comparator.0

Agree with pepperoni.
Question is, which one will you get? But they do offer free returns I think.0 -
Well I've taken a screen shot for starters.
...and my confirmation says Panasonic Mini DV NVGS35B0 -
I think pepperoni is correct. However, you would have a solid case for getting what is described for the simple reason that the asking price plus the discount would equate to the Argos price! Not going for it as I have a perfectly decent mini cam but at £137 delivered it's deffo worth a go IMHO!I spelt my username wrongly on purpose, by the way!0

Is the NVGS27B any better? It is £164 on Dixons website.0

At first glance no DV in or remote (not essential but could be useful)0 -
I think the numbers increase as the quality gets better so I reckon 27 would be not as good as 35. As you can tell, I'm a real expert on this stuff, lol!I spelt my username wrongly on purpose, by the way!0

I agree..this one is for a mate who bought a cam from me from the great Argos discount some time back (JVC-never again!!) and this is to replace it...this is a good deal.0 -
FWIW, the July What Digital Camcorder rates the Panasonic NV-GS37 as 3/5 and quotes an average price of £350. It claims the performance indoors is poor. The Sony DVD403 is rated 4/5 and price quoted is £900. It comments on its good usability and quality of both video and stills0
