  • I haven't completely decided for this week, but

    Friday: Fresh pasta (defrosted ends of 2 bags), garlic bread (from part-baked bread rolls) and probably a tomato sauce
    Saturday: Chicken nuggets and HM chips for DD, something special for DH and I (possibly steak, HM chips and pepper sauce)
    Sunday: Chinese New Year's Feast, using a pork steak (frozen), probably a chicken dish and maybe a prawn dish. All HM.
    Mon: Some kind of chop and potatoes - depends on what's good in supermarket
    Tues: Shepherd's pie (already made in freezer)
    Wed: Chicken, rice and a sauce (probably a jar of tikka masala in cupboard)
    Thurs: Nasi Goreng (using rice leftover from Wed)
    Fri: Takeaway probably
    Sat: Probably a HM curry and HM naan bread
    Sun: Baked ham
    GC 2010 €6,000/ €5,897

    Friday: Cold cuts of gammon with champ gravy and yorkshires
    Saturday: Steak rostis and green veggies
    Sunday:SC brisket with rumbledy thumps
    Monday: Beef burgers and oven chips
    Tuesday: Roast chicken with sweet potatoes
    Wednesday: Mozzarella stuffed chicken wrapped in parma ham with some frozen veggies
    Thursday: Toad in the hole
    Feb GC: £200 Spent: £190.79

    Hi all, here's my plan for the week:

    tonight: Turkey lentil and veg curry (from the freezer) with naan
    Sat: Toady hole and veg
    Sun: Shepherds pie (with carrot and swede mash top)
    Mon: Chicken breast in bacon and veg
    Tue: Gammon and veg
    Wed: Chilli wraps
    Thu: Fish pie and veg
    Fri: HM Beef stew and dumplings (from freezer)
    Sat: Pork casserole of some sort :o
    Sun: Chicken and leek cobbler and veg


    Lunches will be soups, hm burgers, pasta, jackets and whatever there is for my lunch.

    Tuesday - Curry_Queen's curry, first time
    Wednesday - Girly away
    Thursday - Girly away

    Hi all,

    Bit unsure about this weeks meals (need inspiration), but at the moment, it looks something like this:

    Tonight - Out for Indian meal (early Valentine's, MIL babysitting!)
    Sunday - Mexican Sausages with Rice
    Monday - Creamy Mustard Pork with Sauteed Potatoes
    Tuesday - Lamb Rogan Josh
    Wednesday - Chilli & Rice
    Thursday - Butternut Squash Risotto
    Friday - Pasta Carbonara
    Saturday - Fish Pie
    Sunday - One Pot Salmon

    Lunches will be Tuna, Gammon, Prawn Salads and HM Minestrone/Curried Parsnip Soup.

    Don't do much baking, but might attempt something easy like Flapjacks this week. Wish me luck!

    I'm trying to get organised and use everything up that needs using this week before i go shopping again :(

    Saturday - HM Lasagne and new pots / salad
    Sunday - Chicken and all the trimmings
    Monday - Tapas night :D - Tomato bread, cold meats, mixed bean salad, hummous, olives, artichokes(sp) sun dried toms and anything else that needs eating in fridge :D
    Tuesday - HM Pork Stir Fry
    Wednesday - HM Chilli Con Carne
    Thursday - Sausage Casserole
    Friday - Salmon (for me) Haddock (for OH) salad / potato's & Veg / potatoes & salad

    They are cubed potatoes with the skins on lightly fried in some butter then you add some cubed bacon and brown that off, then add some shredded cabbage and let that wilt and then finally top the lot off with some grated strong cheddar cheese :) Lovely!
