Anyone ever used Aqueous cream?

I use it all the time for dry skin and shaving rash. In fact, it's great to use for shaving foam as well. :P

How old is Bubs. If still in a baby bath I used to use the foam support from Mothercare which was about £6 and it kept dd in place so well. You can also use this in a big bath. If bubs can sit up Mothercare also do a support which is a bit more expensive at around £17. It's a full length rubber mat and at one end there is a plastic seat with a bar at the front and a bit at the back to support. I found both of these really good, and no I don't work for Mothercare lol! I used to use aquaeous a lot in the bath as I had really bad exczema for a few years and it can make it a little slippery.

No, but keep an eye on the rest of him because if he starts to get any dry patches then prevention is better than cure!

E45 has several different preparations: the cream brought my boys up in a red rash, but then it has lanolin in which is a common allergen. However DH swears by the Wash, and his eczema can be severe.

And if it does flare up again, or not clear up, and for anyone else, may I commend the National Eczema Society.

I also use a cheap songe in the bath to lie my baby on. A towel would work just as well, folded thickly, although it would take longer to dry out.

I've only used aqueous cream as a cream, not in the bath.

Lanolin used to be a common 'cure' for excema, however now is know to trigger it... But if I've been working with the sheep, I have fab skin on my hands and arms from the pure lanolin, it's great for it...so I guess it's very dependent on the individual!

I've never really heard any bad reviews on aqueous though, it's great for cooling it. I use E45 when I can't get hold of Aqueous as it is a good substitute for me, but Aqueous will always be a clear number one

I can't think of the soap I use, but there is one that's great and a cheap commercial brand... I want to say Simple, but I don't think it is, I think it's a similar looking one though. When it comes to my face, I can't use creams etc, but lots of face exfoliate things work very well for me. In particular an Avon one, which oh buys and I steal! No idea why this is as I always thought it would tear my face up, rather than making it more comfortable

I find a massive problem is shampoo, I'll spend ages trying to find one, get one and then within a few washes it itches like hell again, so I've found the trick here is to find a few that work and alternate all the time

I use a flannel with my godson. He won't get in the bath unless it's on the bottom for him to sit on! When he was smaller, we'd pop him on it with his older sister in with him, or us supporting the whole time, now at 2 he'll chill out on it on his own. But it has to be there!

I wash and moisturise my two children using Aqueous, i found wearing expoliating gloves really helped and stopped any slippery eel buisness

My DD had dry patches on her thighs which would not shift BUT i tried magic cream by avent and it worked.

My DS has now grown out of this dry patch buisness but DD still has bouts mainly in hot weather or hot environments.
