aaaarrgh just lost my message. Thought I had posted here already today. Am I pre-senile?

Been in work but only for an hour, it's amazing how disruptive I allow that to be. THen Staples for a couple of bits. When I rolled up home having had a cuppa with MIL DS arrived feeling poorly sick. Occasional tummy pain. Temp is 100.5. Rang his trombone teacher who was fortunately running late and hadn't managed to actually leave Manchester to come here.

I've used the citrus press on the magimix for the first time and done him grapefruit and orange. Declared nice.

I was going to make a masssive turkey curry tonight, but as he's feeling nauseous and dh isn't here I think it would be unkind. I might try and get the veg prepped, as I have a big sewing job (about 50 hours) arriving prob tomorrow or Saturday. It would be good to be ahead of the game.

Got a few more bits and pieces of work possible - a big curtain to make for colleague when she gets the 'portiere' fixed up, tent zip to fix for another friend and then some buttonholes for someone.

Half term after tomorrow so decided I'm going to see my wrinklies next week, DH will be over there thru the week as usual, he suggested if we were there Wed night then we would try the local very expensive Fish restaurant. At least I think it is. It certainly used to be. It will be nice to be away for a couple of days.

I've got some potatoes from yesterday so will probably make a spanish omeletty type of thing, aldi super 6 peppers etc! Need to do some tidying up as well. WOUld be nice to get the Xmas decoration boxes into the cupboard.

Have a good evening all of you.

  • Evening all,
Chicken has been in the slow cooker for 12 hours, do you think it will be cooked yet? :rotfl:

I couldn't be bothered to peel spuds so opted for potato dauphinois only to get as far as the fridge to find no garlic
So Potatoes Boulangere it is :rotfl: Have never made them before so here's hoping the kids like them!

The 24 fairy cakes i made earlier are now down to a staggering 2

Have a busy day tomorrow, 3 parent teacher consultations at two different schools, and have just had to wash eldest ds's uniform as he has to turn up for his in uniform even though the school has broken up for half term and he came in from school today covered in mud

Need to have a good clean of the kitchen and sitting room as ex hubby is coming in the morning so we can go to the consultations together and i will not let him see the house in a mess or me with unwashed hair and yesterdays clothes on :p he will regret leaving, eventually :rotfl:
I will save my tesco £1 savings stamps this year! .......so far = £50 (full card#1)
Card #2 £6. I will not be skint at Chistmas this year!

sorry I've not had time to read the thread ((hugs)) if you need one.

I'm very tired today. Did a 3hour round trip to Pembroke in a minibus (I drove) for work and it's wiped me out! I had a nice free lunch down there. Popped to Mr T's after work and got some bargains and used my £11 off vouchers :)

Nachos for tea with ice cream for desert.

Off to ctash on sofa shortly!

    Have a good evening

Evening all. I'm afraid it's a general hello tonight. The nice doctor at the hospital yesterday gave me some rather wonderful painkillers. My arm feels better but they have turned my brain to wool:o

    So:hello: and hugs all round:D

  • Evening everyone :hello:

Sorry, I'm not keeping up very well with the thread. :o Truth be told, I've been a bit fed up with MSE lately (not this thread or anyone on it I hasten to add) so have bunged a particularly irritating wind up merchant on ignore to see if not reading her strangely worded drivel helps me enjoy MSE again. ;)

Have had another busy day. The girls are on half term now which is a nice break to the routine but I did have to go into the office for a while this afternoon. OH took on twin cycling and the other one came with me and was my secretary for the day. :D
My back is still sore and not helped by cleaning out the hens this afternoon so OH is kindly making tea of sausage and mash and gravy
The fire is roaring now so I am planning a night of good telly and feet up and possibly some knitting.

    Take care all.

    Evening everyone

Have read through but my head is a bit mushed today, think I have a cold coming on just in time for half term! Work has been busy today, we did a lunchtime event for the students for money week, getting them to taste branded and unbranded goods, to try and make them think about what they are spending. Also had 2 baskets of shopping again 1 branded items, 1 not and showed the difference in price, nearly half.

Lunch was hm lentil soup with roll, dinner was mince & jacket potatoes, although both ds had the reminder of lentil soup too, so none left for my lunch tomorrow.

Not much os today, apart from quick clean round and the usual washing up.

Hugs to anyone who needs or wants one. Enjoy the rest of your evening. Take Care.

You can still see my posts then? :D

I've been a bit naughty in DT tonight :o:D My :A slipped for a while, but not everyone appreciates my sense of humour!

Hope your back is ok now

Anguk, good to hear your OH is progressing.

    Hope you're ok sandy :)

DDs had a good time at Japanese. They have so much they need to retain now though.

Sometimes we do other things after Japanese, but energy levels were lacking, so we came home again. It's been so cold all day, too, and that makes me want to hibernate :D

DD2 helped me make spicy wedges for tea and they were definitely spicy  Warmed up my insides though :D
