MSD You know what i mean, it's not normal to be typing away at 3am, and if i was to place money on it I'd safely say it is usually us three :rotfl:
Well the day so far has been semi-productive, the wm is on, made the children fresh pancakes for breakfast and the chicken is in the slow cooker, i have also bleached right through the kitchen and am about to make a weetabix cake and some fairy buns.
Nothing compared to the scale of things most of you do day to day, but considering i have spent the last couple of weeks moping on the sofa and struggling to get dressed in a morning i'm feeling slightly more positive today xx
I need to lie down in a darkened room. I read the underlined bit as you'd made fresh chicken pancakes and the children were in the SC :rotfl:
Glad you're feeling more positive today.
snoozer - glad they can do something to remove the pre cancerous cells - hope that's the end of the matter for you xxxx
Molly - you might find it's a few days and a loss of clean underwear before they notice you are on strike. Stick with it xx Enjoy reading your book and planning your trip.
Walk over the fields was lovely, lots of glorious sunshine albeit a wee bit chillyHave been drooling over a nice detached house that overlooks the fields - it's empty at the mo (and is a new build). It's probably waaaaaaaay out of our price range but I can dream :rotfl:
Nursery drop off in a mo and hopefully DD will go for a nap......not holding my breath if yesterday was anything to go by.
Right off to go and find out if my new dream house is for sale.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Had an extremely quiet day in as I had no car. Just heard from garage and it is a small problem that believe it or not IS ACTUALLY COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY!!!!!! First time that a problem has not cost us!:D Glad we took that warranty out now, although TBH so far it was not worth the paper it was written on.
HM pizzas for tea as it needs to be a quick one in case I can pick car up tonight.
Just had some really sad news from one of my closest friends, her mum has been ill and she has just been told she has cancer in her bone marrow, her chest and her tummy so they are all reeling at the moment, if anyone could spare any prayers for them I am sure it would be appreciated. It has been a rotten start to the year so far!
Have a good evening all

snoozer, prevention is the key word my dear you are in my thoughts and prayers along with anguk great news about your husband.I bet you can't wait to get him home and spoil him a bit.
Brrr its really chilly this afternoon, I have just done the school run and picked the boys up, the wind really cuts you in half. Roll on the spring and some sunshine.I am really getting the wear out of my cosy scarf, gloves and hat that my DGD bought me for Christmas, I wear them almost daily.
I ordered my new computer desk from Argos today and hopefully it will arrive next Monday. The beech bookshelves I wanted were out of stock until the end of the month, so I can save a bit more up inbetween times for them.
Well time to make another hot drink I think.Keep warm everyone

Afternoon everyone.....((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))) if you need one, could do with one myself.
Today has been ‘one of those days’ I was determined that I was going to get my sewing room sorted……so as soon as breakfast was over I adjourned to said sewing room, after putting the bath towels and mat in the washer.
I had not been in there long when K arrived with a chap in tow…’to change the washer on the hot tap and put in the new toilet’ ok chaps get on with it……..things did not go to plan, K had to go and get a new cistern as the old one was not compatible with the toilet bowl. Scott had come to service R’s boiler and he wrote down on a piece of paper what K needed to get. Scott went back to his boiler, I went back to my sewing room, OH had been in the garden……. A few minutes later a voice asked if we had a ladder as he had to get up into the loft and turn off the hot water. Ladders inside, chap up the ladder….OK whilst you are up there would you mind putting these boxes up for me? No problem. Second bedroom is now looking less like a dump and slightly more like a habitable room. In the middle of all this the sky engineer arrives to fix up the TV…discussion re where the cable should come in….all sorted, he gets his ladders and crawls all over the roof.
Meantime tap fixed, toilet still sitting in the hall waiting to be fixed. After lunch K arrives, water needs to be switched off and the tap is under the floor in the hall, carpet up, nope wrong tap….that’s to drain the central heating, please note I am still trying to sort out the sewing room…..
Tap under sink, no that stops the water coming into the house, we would have to drain everything down. K disappears his parting comment,’ Could you screw the floor boards down again ……..now if I was prone to hysterics this is the time to have them……..
At last finished the sewing room and started to iron the sheets etc I washed earlier in the week……oh I forgot, I was up the ladder putting new batteries in the bell over the hall door when K decided to come back, just managed to stop him opening the door and knocking me off the ladder!!!!
Then Scott reappeared and started to look at the toilet, we need to turn the water off he says disappears up the ladder into the loft….the tap is on the pipe leading out of the tank in the roof!!! No sign of K……..a little while later K reappears just after I had made tea…..’oh tea, milk and three sugars please’ Well you screw down the carpet jointing strips and I will give you a cup of tea with milk and three sugars……..he stood and drank his tea watching Scott struggling with the toilet…….then disappeared again. I was still trying to do the ironing, and also sort out the chicken for supper.
Eventually I finished the ironing, casseroled chicken cooking slowly on the hob, Scott finished the toilet……closed the loft hatch for me and left, see you next week, I am coming to service the boiler…….
OH had re-appeared by this time as it had started to rain…….I prepared the veg for supper, poured myself a very large glass of red wine and sat down………..
I hope tomorrow is a more peaceful day and I might at last manage to SEW!!!Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
