This is awful! They stole your cat! And they flaunt that fact by overfeeding your cat in front of you?
I get mad at fat cats myself but thats a different story.
How can you think about getting a different cat if you have not got your own one back? Who is this napper - what is his/her story?
Go to police and tell them - it's a police state now - they can do all sorts of things to a bad napper if you give them box of quality street etc - not that im advocating that you understand.
Gosh what a world...0 -
Kimberley those cats are gorgeous and i can see why they cannot be allowed to roam. I have 2 cats they are both 15 years old and i have had them from kittens. They are in great health and are still going strong. I dont go to bed until theyare both in at nighttime..i have always got them in a night as this is when they get up to mischief. I am lucky that i live in the countryside and dont have a main road anywhere near my house so i feel my cats are safe from being caught up in a RTA. my two who i did unfortunately lose in traffic accidents was when i lived on a one way street in town about 12 years ago.
I suppose its personal choice as to how different people want to bring up their pets its not set in stone but if i had 2 cats like yours i wouldnt let them out unsupervised..ps the cat enclosure is great but if you are going to have one of those wouldnt you like it to be a bit bigger for your 2?
It's ok for a kitten, when the cats grow bigger then the run will be extended to the bottom of the garden. The garden isn't used by us now anyway so it's only used by the cat and dogs I foster.0 -

You might still see a few the next day or two as cycles complete but they will all die off a lot quicker then if you didnt treat your house.
Now put a tin of indorex under the sink ready for spring clean time next year and you shouldnt (touch wood ) have a flea problem again ( although the cat might still pick up fleas)0 -
My boys have had two Stronghold treatments and I haven't (touch wood) seen any fleas in a while.
Combed a dead one out the other night though :TMy TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
I agree with mariauk, i don't think frontline is as good as it used to be, i will be buying some of this stronghold stuff aswell....0

As the title says this may be a stupid question!
I have a rehomed cat that I have had for four years. He wears a flea collar and I've never had a problem with fleas as he mainly liked being indoors. However a few weeks ago he decided to have a mid-life crisis and now is outside for 22 out of 24 hours :rotfl: He came in three days ago with fleasso I changed his collar (even tho it was not due yet) treated the house top to bottom and also treated him with (not so silent) spray. Now here is the stupid bit, he still has the odd scratch (he is normally a bit "scratchy) so am I being paranoid? Have I done enough to have sorted the fleas? I don't get bitten (ever! bugs all hate me
) and I can't see any?
Thanks in advance for not mocking me mercilessly:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:0 -

Ask the vet. Normally flea collars are a cheaper option but not as effective on those pesky critters. Also if he's spending so much time outside there are worms & earmites to consider. You don't want to be paying to feed any `additional extras'!
Good luck0 -
Since I have changed my two to Stronghold I will save stress/time/money on buying:
ear drops (& vet consultations to check there are mites)
worming tablets (the hassle/time of counting whether it's `time' & then forcing them to swallow them).
For me this is good economy & cats are happier too. However if the Tom didn't sleep out or hunt ocassionally I would just use a basic flea treatment (as the other is a housecat & only wanders the balcony).
Wondering WHY vet has given you worming tablets really - I would ask before trying to get poor mog to swallow. Stronghold is meant to be 3 in 1 treatment (although I must admit I am still using Canuaral on the Tom for his ears as recommended for the time being - I note the matter is decreasing far better with the Stronghold at the same time).0
