    morning!
    another day off for me.

I had a nice night out with my workmates last night - 4 layered chocolate fudge cake for pud:D
DS not gone to college - he woke up with a headache and felt sick - hope he's not inheriting my migraines, so he's gone back to bed. DH still in bed recovering from his day of helping to repair DS1's car. So far we've had to buy a new tyre and are picking up a light from the scrapyard later. He might also need another tyre yet.DS is even more skint than we are atm.
    Never mind we'll cope:)

My aunties funeral is in 2 weeks time, seems a long wait to me.
Today we're having bubble and squeek using some Aldi's cheap savoy cabbage for tea, DH will probably have a couple of sausages with his. Beans for me.
Need to make some more biscuits too as the peanut butter ones soon vanished.

Haribo - hope your back's better.
sandy - good luck at the hospital x

(((hugs))) to all in need x
    Do what you love :happyhear

Morning all....................(((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))) if you need one.

Its a chilly one this morning although the sun is trying to come through I can see a faint shadow od sun on the wall in the sitting room. Woodburner was still in, so chuicked some more stuff on and its merrily burning asway.

1 load in the washer, one more to do. I appear to have lost a hammock (bra) I need serious scaffolding.......can only fimd two and there sbhould be three, hope I have not left that at the house too!!! they are £20 a piece and I would have to go intoEdinburgh to replace it at John Lewis.

Chap coming to sort the phone point this morning, then we have a trip to B & Q to get the cupboard for the kitchen, we need to check that all three will go where we want them.

I am off to me sewing room to try and finish it off and get the chair DD gave me in, then I can sew!!!!
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.

  • Good Morning Everybody!

Hope you are all doing OK. Lots of love and hugs to thos who need them :)

MSD The cuddles were the best: he's still not 100% today but a happy little chap none the less.
Sandy Hope you're arm is OK and there is very little/no damage (((hugs)))
TopsyTurphy The chicken chow mein was lovely last night, maybe overdid it a little on the chinese 5 spice, but other than that was top notch ;)

Last night was a busy one in our house: I really fancied some biscuits after my tea so instead of going and buying some I cooked up a batch of Twinks hobnobs: well I think I died and went to heaven - they were YUMMY!! Even DH thinks so and he normally laughs at my baking attempts (with good reason, I have to say! :rotfl:). Plus the BM and WM were going whilst I was making them so felt like a domestic goddess for once :D:D

Today, I've not started anything for tea as we are eating out for my birthday tonight :D:T No time for any household chores this morning either as was woken up by DD with my presents, a bunch of flowers and a cake at the crack of dawn! Her and DH had hidden them in her bedroom last night, I thought I could hear her moving about last night when she was meant to be in bed last night, must have been the excitement!! :rotfl:

Have a great day everybody! x

  • Good Morning everyone ,
Brrr its a chilly one this morning I have a college run for my dgd this morning, and my pal June is coming down from Dartford to emulsion the top coat on my walls of my study.Had a quick snow shower this morning, but it seems to have stopped I am hoping that's all we get.
taking June out to lunch today as a treat and a thank you for all her hard work last week and this week in detoxing my study. It looks really great now and twice the size now we have got rid of so much junk.
I have been good and been shopping from my cupboards for the past week or so and have hardly spent any money on food, but will need a top-up by the week end I think.Mainly fresh fruit and veg and milk.I am off to the Cotswolds for my spring holiday in April and hoping that the weather will perk up a bit
hart44 I see you live in Derbyshire I went there last year for my spring holiday and rented a lovely cottage in a village called Hope It was beautiful and right up on the top of a mountain. The sheep used to stick their noses through the window in the morning to see who was there .I loved the Derbyshire dales and all the little market towns of Matlock,Buxton ect.The people were so friendly as well. The cotswolds will be a bit different I think although I lived in Oxford in the early 1960s but I dare say its changed quite a bit since I lived there. We are staying at Shipton -under Wychwood so we can tour around a bit.I want to go to Bleinheim as my late husband was very distantly related to the Churchills of Woodstock back in the 18th century(not the richer side of the family though)
His gt,gt, Grandfather was William Henry Spencer Churchill, a master cabinet maker from Woodstock.I also want to have a stroll around Oxford as I met and married my late husband there, so it will be a wander down memory lane for me.
Well time i stopped rabbiting and got the kettle on The sun has just come out and the snow looks pretty, but its still freezing .Have a good day everyone and take care

Had a lie in til 6.45am today :T And no I am not drugging the kids :rotfl:
Not much OS going on today. Got to put WM on (but that doesn't really count does it :o), taking kids round to my mums to play with my neice and nephew who are there for the day. My dad is off too (as mum still poorly) so he'll get to see my two aswell.

Made my first ever batch of yoghurt last night just using a flask. To say I am like this :D is an understatement. Am feeling very impressed with myself. It's not quite as thick as I'd like but I am not complaining. I was going to use some in a chicken curry for tea tonight but I forgot it's parents evening so I think I will have to do that for tomorrow.
Think tonights tea will be a makeshift unless I am organised before we go.
Got a large frozen chicken to roast and pull apart at some point today too.

Cold but lovely and sunny here :) Hope that spring is nearly sprung :rotfl:

taplady - hope DH and DS are back on their feet soon x

nmlc - well done on the nil balance :T

Right not read the end of yesterdays thread so will go and do that and then will have to make a move before the kids get too mardy!
Hugs to those that need them. Have a good day OS or not.

Can you not get it online? Would save the expense and journey?
