Some NHS info and links to support here http://smokefree.nhs.uk/smoking-and-pregnancy/stage-one/

To be honest if being pregnant doesn't give you the motovation to stop smoking, I'm not sure what will. Good luck with giving up.

that should be the case but i work in a maternity unit and given that pregnancy is or can be one of the most stressful times in a womans life then i am not surprised that so many don't give up

lots of PG women smoke in secret !

    you would be surprised

i don't condone it ... i hate seeing the PG women outside puffing !

I tried quitting at the beginning of this pregnancy and my last one, but I just did not have the will power even though I really wanted to. & if Im totally honest Im not gonna say Ive quit coz Im pregnant (I wish I did/was) Im quitting because to me its the right moment I fell ill and cut down so I took advantage of that. IYSWIM..Ive called the NHS..(not finding them very helpful TBH),,

Hi Simmy, Well done you for quitting...keep it up!!! I've been quit a week now and it is slowly getting easier. I'm not having cravings as such i think its just breaking my habit. I feel twitchy when i feel like i should be having one and have resorted to sucking lollipops instead to keep me busy lol x

Looks like the habit has you hooked rather than the addiction. You've had a tough few days - do you really want to start smoking and go through all that agony again next time you stop?
Do you want your babies abiding memory of you to be eau de fag ?
Get yourself some mints or something to stick in your gob to keep it occupied. Chew on a pencil - anything !
.................:)....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)
