There`s nothing wrong with either Epson or Brother printers if they are in CONTINUOUS use and the ink keeps flowing not blocking up the "printheads".
Anyone that wants a printer but doesn`t use it every day should avoid those makes.
    .

More rubbish, I have a 4th Brother All in One at my place out in Spain, it only gets used a few times a year, never gets clogged up.

I am speaking from first hand experience.

Where did you get that duff info from?

Have you ever owned a Brother Printer??

    Do you work for Brother?
Why, when asked, didn`t you answer my question about the built-in printheads?

I do not work for Brother, nor have I any connection with the company, I am just reporting my own personal feedback on what I consider to be an excellent value line up of printers.

That is what this forum is about surely?

Brother printers have built-in printheads and do a regular cleaning cycle that can`t be changed or turned off, hence using more ink.
    When the printhead goes
    the printer goes.
Stacks of info on the Brother FAQ pages on their site.

Why do the color ink cartridges run out of ink even though I never or rarely print in colour?

    Description:

One factor that will affect your colour ink consumption is the cleaning cycles of the machine. The machine is designed to automatically flush and clean ALL of the inkjet nozzles on a programmed schedule. A periodical cleaning or "flushing" of all the ink cartridges occurs approximately every two days. During the cleaning process, the machine draws out a small amount of ink to remove air bubbles from the cartridge and to remove dust and dried ink from the ink nozzles and channels. This not only ensures premium print quality but also ensures the life of the print head. Because of the inkjet technology, this process is common to all inkjet machines.

Cartridges cost pennies, none of my printheads have gone in over 3 years, not sure what you are trying to prove.?

I have 3 Brother All in Ones here in daily use, I speak from experience, not what I can conjure up on Google.

You keep going on about how you have had your printers for 3 years. As I said before, mine died exactly 13 months after purchase and was only used occasionally (so may the bl***y print-head got clogged). Two emails to Brother and no reply as yet. This is what I would call great Customer Service (NOT). You may have been lucky with your printers or the ink could have kept on flowing due to the temperature in Spain. this doesn't make it better for me or others who had their printers dying on them.
Do I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????

Quite the reverse I would have thought, the heat should dry them out, if anything.

I think you have just been unlucky, mine are all fine.

I have had duff Canon, and HP printers in the past, no help from them when they died.
