We did the shopping yesterday and that came to £42. I bought a £2 dvd and we got my daughter a £3 cars car which she loved so much she took it to bed with her!! We spent nothing in disney so i guess it worked out ok, though it would be nice to get in some under £40 shops! No dog food again, which means we need to go out and get some, but the dried cat food was half price so we bought 2 bags so we shouldn't have to buy any of that for 1 month. We spent about £10 on a mcdonalds and some cookies from a cookie bar. Oh and I didn't acquire any new chickens so all good really. I think the extra money I have in my account is from my husband filling my car up sometimes so I am going to siphon some to him.
My husband did some digging out of the floor yesterday and he's done a 1/3 of it yesterday afternoon, its really exciting. I think it'll be on his mind now and he'l be doing it in the evenings, otherwise I guess he'll finish it next weekend. He has a lot of pressure too as he tries to do 15 hours overtime as it significantly ups our income and we are quite dependant on this now, though he is only working one week in september and he says he probably won't be able to do it so that might be a lower income month, he finds it hard to get on with that kind of thing when we're all around.
I wanted to relax yesterday but I ended up grouting a small patch of tiles where our new picture is going, I need to finish that today. Also I started tidying up our garage, its awful such a mess and I really wanted to sort it a bit, I have done a bit. It's such a big job but I did discover a lot of it is building supplies that once used will be gone so it should be much better then. Also I haven't started the washing yet so I have about 3 loads to do today.
OOh I meant to say I got my yearly mortgage statement and it just says the balance and then 'time remaining based on minimum term 22years 9 months' how rude!! Why don't they work it out. Initially when I over paid they used to reduce my monthly payment but then they stopped it and I called them and they said they would reduce the term instead which i didn't think would make much difference so I left it but it would be nice to see the truth in black and white....oh well I'll have to work it out, I think roughly I knock off 6months a month or slightly less....

Well this weeks spending on food was £49, so it has gone up lately don't think we really bought anything bad this time... I think this month we will be about £150 over budget which isn't very good really!! But I think we are a bit ahead.
We bought some more decking wood to make some raised beds and a couple of other bits which have come out of my nans money. We also ordered the floor with my nans money, so there is only about £200 left now, but that is what it was for so thats ok I think. Its quite exciting because once the floor comes next weekend and then we have fit it the building will be so much easier, definitely the worse will be over and so it feels like we are over a huge mountain!! I have one more week at work ending in payday then I have a week off and then our daughter starts preschool so I feel we have a lots going on and this will hopefully distract from other things.
The picture I bought got cancelled as the company isn't doing it anymore due to the recession luckily I managed to find a company on ebay instead and after buying the same picture off an image bank it has worked out about a tenner cheaper so that is great
I need to sort out a financial plan for this month as I haven't worked out my figures yet, nice to know where everything will be, but I know hubby has used the credit card so I just hope it is all as low as I hope!!Mortgage November 2003 was £135k, but thanks to this website on 28/08/12 we became MORTGAGE FREE!

Calm down lol
Great news, enjoy the week off :TWeight loss: Start weight: 80kg; Current Weight: 77kg; Target weight: 55kg0 -
We have just paid £621 off the sainsburys card, this a bit more than we thought, however we underbudgetted for food and petrol from my husbands account and he had to use it a bit. This probably means we are about where we should be rather than ahead. We have another £100 to come off in normal payment. This month my husband is off for 3 of the 4 working weeks because my parents are away and so he will definitely not use his £200 petrol budget, which we will try and over pay but as we both have this week off we will also spend it if necessary on meals out etc because we are not off together often!!
Yesterdays food shop came in at £47, its crept up for sure. I'm not sure if this is because we have started to get a few more treats and be less strict with portions so packs aren't lasting as long but to be honest I don't think in the grand scheme of things (just over a year) a tenner a week is going to make a huge difference versus not enjoying food for a year- we're definitely slacking offplus we bought our daughter another little car....my hubby has one eyed up for next week too:rotfl:
Well we had a big delivery yesterday and got all our floor beams, we did about a 1/4 of it yesterday. Would like to finish today but its just the two of us and some of them weigh 170kg so we need to find a way to move them, my husband thinks we can on the theory that the egyptians built the pyramids:rotfl:will have to update on this. If we have this done the major horrible jobs are done which is fantastic. After that it will be trying to fund some bricks so my husband can just build a bit here and there. So far the extension is still coming in at under £10k so considering we had to pile it as well I think that's really good (my husband is keeping a costings sheet). We do have some goodish news in that both of our neighbours who have objected are looking to move. They have not talked to us since we got planning permission. One house who is pretty much unaffected by the extension (but they are friends) has had their house on the market for about 18months now still hasn't sold. The other one went up for sale this week and sold immediately it is really nice inside so I expect they will be moving soon, looks like a young couple moving in. This is good because we get on with all our other neighbours and its very hard having bad feeling in the street. We are hoping to get at least a few bricks higher than their fence so the new neighbours can clearly see the extension and hoping that way they will have no issues with it, so at least if they move in knowing it will be there we have a chance of having a good neighbourly relationship. I can't see the other neighbour moving for a while unless they drop their price.
I have a few exciting things coming this week. First is my picture which I postman watched for yesterday and it never came and then I ordered my daughter a dress, it will be for her birthday (I'll try and post a picture) I used £25 vouchers (had a tns, ipsos and my survey) and £15 cash (which I wanted to put on the credit card, but oh well), more than I'd spend on a dress for myself.....but I just really wanted to get her it. I really want to buy her lots of presents at the mo, its hard not to!
Had a generally better week this week. Work is hopefully getting quieter but the same issues always stress me out which are to do with my works set up rather than issues I can control. They are trying to change these issues but I can't see it happened anytime soon, I have decided that I won't take blame for what isn't my fault anymore or bare the responsibility personally for the things I can't control!!! I will do my best within my ability and reasonable responsibility only!! I have been feeling a bit annoyed about my money again recently, rumour has it that other members of staff are on double what I'm on despite me having more experience, but I think as I work less hours per week (48 rather than 'unlimited') that I probably won't get more and perhaps then I would get more pressure on me, also I think the more I get paid the harder it would be to leave!!!! I will try and not be greedy, greediness makes me stressed as I start looking at the figures again!!
Mortgage payment comes out about thursday, will update then and if I spend silly amounts of money this week :rotfl: Think once we've ordered the drainage that my husband needs to finsih the floor that will be the end of the £1000 my nan gave us:eek:Mortgage November 2003 was £135k, but thanks to this website on 28/08/12 we became MORTGAGE FREE!
