Well I have just received my first swap on readitswapit. I swapped 'I heart New York' for 'Woman to Woman' by Joyce Meyer'. Also placed 10 books on the greenmet site so fingers crossed. I went to a table top sale yest and was very tempted to buy some books but i resisted and sold some of my own books.No More Buying Books: read 0/25; Bought: 0

finished Over by Margaret Forster
what a sad book its about a girl whose daugther is killed on a boating accident, the fathers obsession with finding somone to blame for his daughters death breaks up the family and his marriage, it wasnt an enjoyable read at all, i just felt too sorry fro most of the characters.
need something lighter nextSPC~12 ot 124

Finished 'How to live safely in a science fictional universe' today. Really enjoyed it though some bits didn't make much sense to me - not even sure some of the things are real but I felt a lot like I did when I went to watch Shakespere - didn't understand all the words but the story came across well!
I thought it was well written, funny and fairly quick to read - there are some very short chapters in it which I always like in a book!
Got another book from the library to start today - '13 reasons why' by Jay Asher. It's about a girl who kills herself and leaves audio tapes behind for certain people who she blames for her death to listen to (there are 13 of them). It could be quite harrowing but it sounded interesting so will see how it goes.
Suppose these don't count towards my total for the year because I don't own the books in the 1st place? - though at least I'm sticking to the not buying any rule with my re-discovered love of the library! Will read the books I haveout then must try and make another start on the books I haven't read which I ownNo more buying books Books in 2016 = 20.

I keep forgetting to update this thread! In the past couple of weeks I have read;
- 50 Shades of grey series (and I thought they were ok)
- A Discovery of Witches (which I loved!)
- Gone and Hunger (a couple of YA books which were the 2nd and 3rd most disgusting books I have ever read behind Chuck Palunik's Haunted)
- Insurgent (the follow up to Divergent, which I pre-ordered ages ago and therefore doesn't count as an 'IN')
- A Hitman's Guide to Housecleaning (a bit 'meh')
and I am currently on A Clash of Kings which I hope to finish this week.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -

Finished "13 reasons why" which I really enjoyed. Quick to read as it pulls you into the story and you want to know what happens next.
I've got "I'd tell you I love you, but then I'd have to kill you." by Ally Carter to read next. Another library book so not taking away from my to-read pile but also not adding to it!No more buying books Books in 2016 = 20.
