No it's not in county stock... Elaine may have another sale!
I'm nearly finished it, and I must say, it's an excellent read! I'm around her age and also Scottish, so a lot of the incidents in her childhood resonated with me!
I've also admired her as an actor and performer for years, she's the sort of person you wouldnt mind having a coffee and a natter with!:)

Been reading Mennonite in A Little Black Dress and it's great - has resonances of Lake Wobegon but is real life. It also has a small and useful collection of recipes in the back, which are reminiscent of what my Estonian mum used to make. I'm planning on making/re-discovering a few of them as they are very money saving.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0

been trying to cull the book collection thats over taking the house, weve had to strip the boys rooms hall and landing as wed had the builders/decorators so ended up with four bookcases and their contents crammed into the lounge (this doesnt count my books or DDs books as they are in other rooms. any how we decided to use the time to go through them and oust any tha are too young not wanted or unsuitable for us and try to get them down to a more managable amount. the upshot is that in the last 3 weeks 8 carrier bags have gone to the local charity shop, ive got a big pile on the floor waiting for the kids to go through and save any they want before next weeks trip to the charity shop again. now have them down to 3 book cases. ive saved some particular faves from when they were young that have been boxes in the attic as i couldnt bear to part with them. Thursday ive got two of my recent reads to go to the drs waiting-room shelf, three waiting till i see my mum again, one for my niece and a few for the school library. hoping that once they are better displayed and easier to see it will encourage the kids to read more.
still on Lyn Andrews "friends forever"SPC~12 ot 124

Finished Elaine C Smith's autobiography. It was a brilliant read, funny, honest and very, very moving. She writes so beautifully about her relationship with her mother and how she coped with her Mum's illness and the effect her subsequent death had on her. I was reading this on the bus and had tears in my eyes.
There's also lots of good, funny and interesting stuff about her career and family - 5:T from me!
Not decided what's next - however I do have a a few to choose from;)

Not bought any new books lately but am still making progress through my Kindle list (down to 249...I may have downloaded some more freebies but not turned on the wireless yet to receive all of them).
But have made a start reading 'Last night in Chateau Marmont'

I've got about 80 pages of Nightfall left to read, which I am hoping to get finished today.
The last book of this 'The Return' series is released tomorrow, but I still have the book in between to read. So, despite the book being sat in my amazon basket for weeks, waiting for me to hit the pre-order button, I haven't and I'm not going to. Instead I will wait until used book comes up for sale. I think I need a bit of a break from this series too.
I received Belle de Jour (Secret Diary of a Call Girl) in the post yesterday froma swap, so i think I will read that for a bit of a non-vampire breather.0 -
