  • Well, I haven't bought any but we have acquired some from a friend having a clear out. :D (luckily I'm working on decluttering so there is space on the bookshelves for them :j)

I have managed to finish 2 novels - the Welsh novel (now I want the sequel if there is one! :rotfl:) & John Grisham 'the appeal'. Will give the Welsh one to my mam, not sure about the John Grisham one . Now enjoying another novel about Sheffield in the 1930s I think it is. That's an easy read, so won't take me long. Still working on the other books I've started!

Just finished I heart Paris, the third in the series by Lindsey Kelk, not hugely impressed by it but it was a nice brainless read while I couldn't sleep last night.
It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

I haven't posted on here for ages, mainly because I've been plodding through my pile.

And... I did buy some books, but they were £1 each in Asda.

When I am in the office, they have a 'bring one, swap one' shelf, so have been getting rid of stuff on there, especially chic lit that I know I won't read again. So my latest pick from the shelf is The Road less Travelled, but finding it a bit hard going.
I've also had some really good audio books from the library - useful on a 2 hour journey to work.

  • Hi Everyone! I have just found this thread and I hope you don't mind me joining in, because it sounds like the perfect challenge for me! I have piles of books waiting to be read, and I should have a bit more time starting soon to read them! I am going to try to buy no books whatsoever until they are all finished! :)

No, i really want one though. My mum was going to buy me one for christmas and i said i didn't want it!! But now i've changed my mind!

Started saving for one this week though...got £50 put away so far, and hoping to sell some stuff over on the Lush forums to raise the extra for it :)

I thought I'd do the same - sell some stuff on eBay, so that I'm not digging into savings etc.

    All the best!
