normal sized but sort of rounded at the front.

why self install, was it cheaper.

Sky plus is brilliant, but HD - we couldnt see enough difference that warraned £10 extra a month.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

Mmmmm....Did'nt know you could self install....Getting HD in at the end of the month & did'nt fancy paying Sky £30 when as a ex VM & Sky enginer I can do it myself better...
  • you can't self install
it needs 2 cables & HD reciever on the dish
me thinks Mr SKY has made a boo boo

Apparently you now can if you are upgrading from Sky+ to Sky HD as cables are already in place.

2 cables yes as per Sky+. What exactly is an HD receiver on end of dish????

Are you referring to hard drive capacity or box dimensions?

I know there is no such thing - my question was what Chorlton thought it was.

Sorry I was multi tasking trying to get out of house ll!!! Meant hard drive capacity. Yes it just a straight swap for Sky +. Never that lucky when I call retentions to cancel looking for better deal . + box was ages old and starting to play up went down HD route thinking perhaps I shouldn't have bothered. Box I got was 250 Gb. Read posts and realise they dumping old stock and that perhaps I should have waited to get newer version.
