  • I posted mine yesterday and it tracked as delivered today. Surely proof of delivery within the 10 days is all that's needed?

I posted mine without paying any extra and it allows me to "track" it on the royal mail website.

I've had an email confirming they've received it yet the tracking on RM says they have it and it's being progressed for delivery. Perhaps this particular tracking ends at the post office counter so it's just a glorified receipt.

    Thanks again OP

if its certificate of postage, or such like, yes, it just confirms the letter have been sent. you have to pay 75p for "recorded" if you want true tracking.

When did you send yours out? (sorry if you have told us already)

Item <snip> was posted at <snip> on 11/02/10 and is being progressed through our network for delivery.

    - email from Tesco on 16th.
  • I also received my email confirming receipt of Tuesday, i'm so relieved as I hadn't been able to check my emails for the last week and had just looked through them and deleted lots and couldn't see anything from Tesco. Logged on here and realised people had been receiving confirmation and went through my trash folder just to double check and found it. Whoo!
