  • Could'nt agree more with everyone. I always buy things from Lakeland by mail order and they NEVER fail. Superb customer service, packing, speed of delivery, and I've never been disappointed by anything I've ordered from them. ;D

I've just spent a couple of days wandering round Exeter, so tried to persuade my son to apply to Uni there because I liked the city so much.

"Why, what's so good about Exeter?" he asked.

    "Well, it's got a Lakeland," I said.

    "What's a Lakeland?"

How does one explain? I started: "It's a shop, selling all sort of bits and pieces for the kitchen."

"Oh, you mean a Gadgetshop for Mums," was his response!

I wish they would open one somewhere in the Bournemouth area. Our nearest is in Salisbury so I can only get there when I'm on holiday. Come to think of it that's probably a good idea because I always spend shed loads of money when I go there - just to make the trip worthwhile you understand!

Very true. But somtimes I really need to see the stuff first! I love their catalogues - practically my bible!!! In fact, I think my house is fast becomming a shrine to Lakeland!
And another thing. . .I love shopping on line. I can see a time coming when I will not need the car any more. Think of the money I'll save then ::)

I hang onto their every word in their catalogues, writing lists of stuff that I "need". Any old excuse for me to buy something from them!

Yes their customer service is fantastic. I just ordered a few items including a microwave steamer, which was much smaller than I had realized. I rang them to say could I return it. They said don't worry - they refunded the money to my account and told me to give the item to charity. Wow! How generous is that - such a lovely surprize to find a company that cares. Pat on the back Lakeland!!
