So glad it's bathroom day mines a mess.

DD's dolly that I ordered her came this morning. I felt like I was committing murder putting the lid back on the box it's so like a real baby! Not sure yet if this is a birthday or a Christmas prezzie but since it was reduced from £100 to £60 I thought I'd just get it now.:o

Toots thanks for DS1's star he's well chuffed. I hope it will encourage him to keep it up. Just a pity that DS2 doesn't follow his example messy little boy that he is.

FFP.. Glad to have helped feed your family :D.. I am making my first ever lasagne tomorrow!!
Now Lasagne I can make. Anything we sold in the place I worked I can make I used to get the chef's to show me. The only thing with that is they mostly take a fair bit of time to prepare so not much good when I CBA. Hope the lasagne turns out well.

  • Hi everyone

Didn't manage to do more than level 1 in the kitchen yesterday - but at least I got something done. May return to it on Saturday. Meanwhile I'm at work today, but will claim my STAR :j:j:j for the bathroom which I did on Tuesday...

Thursday ~ Bathroom, Study and Stairs!
    Level One
    [STRIKE]Declutter floors
    Vacuum/mop all these floors[/STRIKE]
    Level Two
[STRIKE]Wipe keyboard/monitor etc.. bath, basins, bog.. the works!![/STRIKE] I also hoovered under my laptop with the dustette: it's where all the ventilation grids are, and they were choked with fluff. It's no wonder my PC was getting a bit restless... :D
[STRIKE]Check bath sealant/grout.. does it need replacing? If so either do it or arrange for it to be done[/STRIKE] Done last year
[STRIKE]Wash bath mats, shower curtains, net etc[/STRIKE]
    Level Three
[STRIKE]Wipe paintwork up the stairs.. it always looks so much nicer cleaned and vacuumed![/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Clear and tidy and sort a bookcase/shelves![/STRIKE] They are tidy & clean; but I put a lot of work in to analyse our electricity usage (Economy 7 etc) for past three years and spreadsheet the results, so can I claim this instead?
[STRIKE]Clear and wipe the desk. do relevant filing/shredding etc[/STRIKE] DH does filing, but we're pretty good at the moment. Did paperwork for changing Building Society and mailed it.
    Extras
    1. HHI
    2. [STRIKE]Catch up relevant phonecalls[/STRIKE]
    3. [STRIKE]Do a mini-job you have been putting off forever.. an email or letter or whatever![/STRIKE] Changed electricity tariff - and saved £200/yr!!! :money:
    4. Make a start on a craft project you've been wanting to do for ages!
Must head off for the study now to get on with research. Am aiming to tackle the master bedroom tomorrow, and may return to clean the rest of the kitchen on Saturday (but do you have any idea how many cookery books I have? :rotfl:).

    Love to all

    Happy Birthday Natty :)

Been busy busy here. Hope you are all ok. I'm higgledy piggledy all over the place trying to do housework, studying, kids stuff, voluntary stuff etc but trying to work out how mcuh time I need a week for each. To be fair I expected to have the drowning feeling as always do and I'm actually quite relaxed considering how stressful it is. I've actually been quite organised with dates etc, we have all appointments/bookings sorted we need to so far.

Voluntary work especially parents group is proving challenging with quite a bit of b*t@hing which is getting up my nose. Too many people in it for the wrong reasons! Regardless I'll keep doing it for why I am doing it, to improve the lives for the children. I might have to go to London next month, kind of scary thing to speak at a large conference in front of Ed Balls, shadow cabinet and others.......don't know if I want to go. We'll see, someone else might do it.

Waiting for someone to collect the old TD off Freegle, I've ordered a seperate condensor dryer instead of the combi thought. That gets delivered on Monday. Just hope they don't let me down collecting, they have until 11am then I must go to Team Valley, need lizard food, a mirror as DSs have got WarHammer..... and to see if I can please have my leather kit I was promised from where we ordered the suite.

Hope you all have a good day, (((hugs))) for anyone who needs one
One day I might be more organised...........

  • Morning ladies. Yes normal service is now resumed, have finished feeling sorry for myself and overwhelmed by the world. Flying wise I will pick off light duties and just do what I can - honest. Both DD's are now of for 1/2 term:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
So I will pick off the list what I can do without putting pressure on my hands elbows shoulders and neck (thats vacuuming out the window:D) and try and [STRIKE]blackmail[/STRIKE] encourage DD's to do what I can't - that's a lot easier said than done.

Re smears - 8 years ago I had a full hysterectomy. Following this I was constantly getting letters about smears, they kept coming through regardless as to how many times I told them that I no longer had anything to smear. jEventually, in a state of frustration I rang the surgery up and said that I would be more than delighted for them to take a smear and that they could locate the offending cervice in Derriford hospital:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:That stopped the letters!!!:)
The problem with common sense is its not very common:rotfl:
