    Well I've just got back from the doctors - luckily I was only in there for 2 minutes, and came straight home. It's not a chest infection - I have flu. He said if it gets worse though that I should come back as sometimes it can turn into a bacterial infection. Would explain the fever etc though. Called the Head's PA who will tell the head. grateful do I need to call over the half term? I'm not sure that there will be anyone in school, but have never been off sick next to a holiday before, so how does it work. Sorry for being off topic pigpen.
    Have sent you a PM, so as not to clutter the decluttered thread!! See I have been flying!!
    Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x

    Managed to get everything put away - just having a cuppa before I start the packing, can you see I keep putting it off.

    Just put the tv on upstairs (never put tv on of a daytime I don't) and OMG Paul Robinson was in neighbours (which I have not seen in about 11 years) it made me feel so old to see him looking so old!

    I am not flying today. I am doing as I have been told Toots! Thank you for your concern. I hope you are behaving too.
    We are making sure we raise no dust here and it is a great excuse for us to vegetate in front of the TV.

    I am with you all in spirit though!

    Instead I am decluttering my family tree.

  • Oh dear, just discovered that I can't do elbow grease when trying to remove icky bits of the work top, think I'll try the steamer, otherwise it will just have to solidify some more (thank god for prep boards!!!):)

    My extras which will stay on my list for about 7 weeks as they are big jobs for us/me to do;
    1. Make a start on the bedroom cupboards - this will be on here for some time as there are 7 big cupboards and they are full of tat so its 1 cupboard a week
    2. Major declutter in the kitchen cupboards to make room for the stuff on top of the freezer and for the Wok which we can't buy until there is room to put it somewhere and that drives DH mad
    3. Put all the Xmas wrap in the Airing cupboard so its out of the way and frees up under bed storage for more essential things
    4. Re paint mirror for DD and then put it up
    5. Get sideboard out of garage on Friday morning for Age Concern

    THis is all that's left from modified list. Kitchen still a bit cluttered (but can't do cupboard ckeaning today). But at least there is no nasty bacteria on work tops:). Floor will have to wait until another day. Need to get ready now for DD2 review meeting. TTFN

    Too cold to go out today. Fantastic DH has done all school/nursery runs and is also watching SD2's after school football match. I've devoted the day to [STRIKE]mucking out[/STRIKE] cleaning the master bedroom. It's looking pretty good now. I've cleared loads out of the wardrobes and chest of drawers for all my lovely new bits from hubby's trip to Las Vegas. I have several bags lined up along the landing to distribute via freecycle.

    I have a bargain shoulder of pork that I picked up on the reduced counter yesterday in the oven, so we have a lovely filling dinner to look forward to.

    I'm going to do my HHI watching Desperate Housewives when the little ones have gone to bed. It will take me at least an hour and a half but then I should be clear for 24 hours.
