cosmomo - another zanussi hater. We have a white knight td, on my second one now which I dont think is too bad after six years of daily use.
You also mentioned moving to a new house would be easier to keep clean. I dont know about to a new build but we moved from a tiny terrace to something that is nearly double the size. I had just got the terrace decluttered, clean and under control when we moved. We have been here three years. This place is still not clean and under control. I think a lot of this is because of the lack of storage and permanent building works.
Toochosey - I really liked your pretend you are moving idea and am borrowing it. I suggested it to DH for his garage. He looked slightly shifty and pointed out that he did that before we moved and still hasn't put it all away :rotfl:. I got so fed up last time I tried to help and he wouldn't bin anything that we actually have a drawer in his desk that is labelled in permanent pen 'rusty junk' and is indeed filled with..... rusty junk.
Hello to the newbies, and welcome back to the returners. Hugs for all those in need of them.
Thanks to those who were concerned about me getting rid of books - it was a breakfast decision and not alcohol fuelled! I have 000s of books, some of which I know will never read or use again which take up space, and which could be rasing funds for the local hospice. I am starting with my cooking books - of which I have roughly 5' of shelving, some double stacked. I actually use - ooh, maybe three of them. So far I have indentified one for disposal
.
Right, I am finally going to make a start on the big bookcase before school run time. HHC 2-2.30 anyone?'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -

Morning (afternoon!) and thanks for all the welcomes. I'm so glad I'm not the only one who sleeps in a dumping ground... our loft entrance is so tiny that we don't fit much up there, which is a shame since it's huge!!
We were in the same boat - small hatch, huge loft...so we got a loft ladder installed and hey presto some where new to hide all the clutter! The ladder is great for getting things up and down and it is much better for my back not having to struggle so much. Just waiting for sorting the loft to come on to a weekly list!!!!!0 -
dithered about TD's online (can't really afford new one and can't decide between cheap Zanussi or cheaper White Knight - any recommendations?).
Ours is a white knight, have been really pleased with it. DH chose and bought it for me just before W was born 7 years ago.
Better tidy the lounge up, my friend is coming after school run to see us.Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -
