Have they actually charged any further payments to you or confirmed the policy is in place.

Its quite possible that by default or error that someone added it and a manager has to manually remove it from the receipt or that the first month is automatically included free or similar.

It's not automatically added and would continue to roll onn.

If you didnt sign any mandate - call your CC or Bank and tell them you have an unauthorised payment on there. They will then ask DSGi for the mandate, who wont be able to get it refunded and you will then get any money you've paid back...

I can't abide those who add things to a sale without the customer's knowledge. There's no reason for it, it just hides poor salesmanship.

And it is, of course, incredibly dishonest
    Squirrel!
If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
    Now 20% cooler

After buying always smile at them , say thank you to everyone in the shop. Ask them to sign in a deal 'no more money will be taken'.

Thanks fruit tree, found out this week on website same as you and sent letter off on friday, both to AG Product supply and credit card. Been paying for years!!!!
Brought a new laptop from PC world christmas 09 and if the charges relate to the last one purchased from them, I wouldn't have gone there again. We have never known what the charge was for as we have no record here connecting payment to any product. I thought we'd eventually have something through the post relating to it but never had.Asked for copies of mandate etc but if they have gained a signature its been done through trickery. As you're further along in your complaint, please keep us informed.Payments on my husbands credit card & works abroad alot and unable to deal with it but i've had trouble finding what product, place of purchase, date of purchase or even cover provided as nothing is in my name.(We thought it must have had something to do with our credit card insurance and let it run far to long).More i'm finding out the more livid I am.

So did you just have a receipt, or a load of paperwork? Not sure I understand it correctly?

PC WORLD give you allot a leaflets when you purchase anything with them especially a pc. this thread reminds me of the time i bought my pc case and a hardrive took them 35 mins to bring out the correct case one was without front usb ports @ £65.00 the other was with usb ports on the front @ £75.00 but the cases looked the same i wanted the one with usb ports but they kept bringing out the one without till i said dont worry about it im not prepared to wait any longer then low and behold as i was paying for the harddrive they "found the one with" then asked me did i want their insurance for £8.45 i declined 3 times then checked the reciept on way out to find it had been applied went to counter asked what the £8.45 was and she said "oh sorry i thought i'd taken that off i do apologise thats insurance" then i had to have the £8.45 charged back to my card. they didnt take any payments after that though.
  • PCWorld is making money from Insurance lot, If they sell more insurance they get more profit and Manager also get some incentive on that. That's the reason they play a (un)fair game. Who is going to notice this kind of charges(2 out of 10). They must be getting good profit from 8 people.
