Yes, I thought the Waitrose looked pretty good when I looked today - a huge improvement on the last time they tried doing this kind of thing. If I hadn't already got the M&S one, I would certainly have been tempted by the Osso Bucco. Still don't have the range that M&S does (but sounds like a lot of this has been sold out on the third day of the offer).
  • Just got back from M&S and I have to say I was very disappointed.

there were barely any of the choices left. The only starters were the salmon parcels and the pate, the only mains the lamb, some fish or the goats cheese pastry.

the selection of deserts and side dishes was ok I suppose, but nothing different to the usual dine in offer.

to cap it all off they had ran out of chocolates, so it was a rose or nothing.

maybe my local store had just really under estimated the demand?
  • I'm finding increasingly, that you have to get the two dine for £10 on the first day, to have any chance of getting any decent choice. They seem not to restock their supplies, so by Saturday, there is very little that is decent left!
Why oh why dont they restock? The same with the Valentines deal.
Got mine on Thursday. Loads of choice. Had to pop in to my local m&s for some bread and milk this morning,- and guess what,- hardly anything left for the valentines meal deal.
Good job I got mine on Thursday!

Hubby has apparently got the tesco deal so I get treated tomorrow night. yum. Waitrose sounds good at £15 - their food is excellent as a rule.

  • Really not much left in terms of variety in Cambridge Beehive Centre last night, including no sea bass or rib eye steaks, so decided to leave it in the end. Hope those of you who have got the deal enjoy your Valentine meals :heartsmil

These deals are obviously becoming more and more popular - I usually go first thing on a Friday morning when there's still plenty in stock. My local west london store had plenty on the shelves first thing this morning, except I noticed that both the sancerre and the chocolates had all gone.
  • I got ours on Friday lunchtime and there were lots stil left on the shelf - but loads of people were buying and M&S were frantically trying to restock - bless 'em!

I bought Coquilles St Jacques, sirloin steak, chips, strawberry & champagne souffles, a bottle of pink cava and the small box of chocs. We ate it last night and it was absolutely gorgeous - well worth £20 IMHO.

In my Waitrose this afternoon they were reducing ( sell by date) quite a few bits..... which is why I go in there.;)
By coincidence, several bits I picked up were also part of their £15 meal deal, So I went back and added the wine and choc desert....... and my £15 meal deal came to £8. Wine alone should have been £7.99 !
I don't know when their tills will be altered to remove the offer, but it maybe worth checking it out.
Waitrose is one of the few stores left where their linked offers still work even when individual items have been reduced.

Went to M&S today (I know abit late but first chance I had) - the shelves where practically empty of this deal so I have no idea what's for dinner tonight :(
