M and S dine in for two

I am going to go & get this tomorrow. Hopefully they have a good choice in store! Anyone know what size the steaks are roughly?;)0
-
a lot of the smaller M&S stors (especially at stations) don't carry this offer, and only the really big stores carry all the choices.0

I got the:
Coquille St Jacques (really looking forward to this!) (£4.99)
Rack of Lamb (£9.99)
Caesar Vegetables (£2.99)
Mocha fondant dessert (£2.69)
Chianti (£9.99)
Chocs (£3.49)
Total was £34.14 so I think £20 is good value
Alas, our local had sold out of the Sancerre already but I was more concerned with getting my first choice of food items anyway so I'm well happy.0 -
I got 3 of these deals yesterday!!! And before anyone says I'm mad, I was really chuffed when I got there to find that the sancerre was the wine we treat ourselves to now and again, and are happy to pay full price for (£10.99). I was going to get 3 bottles yesterday to see us over Valentine's weekend (we have a puppy so we cant go out and leave him yet, and thought we'd spend the money we'd have spent on a meal outside on some extravagances!!). That meant that for an extra £9 I could get a main, a pud, a side, a starter and some chocs!! Well worth it!! On my bill I saved £55!!! As we were going to buy two of their rib eyes anyway and found they were also in the deal, this was a no-brainer.
I did rummage and get the most expensive set of steaks (£10.50), and lamb chops (£10.49). We had one of the little box of chocs last night and they are lovely.
Our shop (Darlington) didn't have the Duck. The scallops starter was with the chorizo, not the lemon.
Just a tip to those who don't know....as I was buying 3 bottles of wine on the meal deal, I bought another 3 to make it up to 6. M&S give you 10% off 6 bottles, and you still get this off the meal deal wines too, giving an extra saving. So I effectively got another £1.10 off each meal deal :j0 -
I'm pleased as I got mine yesterday, the Coquille St jacques, Sirloin Steaks, Mediterranean Veg, Strawberry and Champagne Souffle and the Valentine Rose Cava. Nearly forgot I got the chocs too!
For us folk with kids its way cheaper buying a £20 dine in meal rather than paying a babysitter and going out for a meal. I just hope my kids give us peace and quiet to eat such a nice meal now!!!!0 -
Got this £20 deal last night at M & S - Coquilles st jaques, 2 Ribeye steaks, House salad bowl, strawberry selection, box of chocs (instead of the single rose) and a bottle of Sancerre really good value as the wine alone is £10.99.
However have already eaten the chocs ....0 -
Just going to get mine now.0

Got ours today too - lot's of it was out of stock, but managed to get:
Starter:
Lochmuir Smoked salmon parcels
Main:
Rib eye steaks (good size too - will make my own pepper sauce)
Side:
House Salad bowl
Dessert:
2 chocolate valentines (the ones in the ad)
Wine:
Vintage Rosado Cava
Didn't have any chocs left so had to have the rose :mad:0 -
I popped into my local M&S this morning as I had a £20 voucher left from Christmas. I came out empty handed as the selection was appalling. The only mains left were sea bass or goat's cheese tarts. The chocolates were sold out and the roses all looked half dead. No where near worth spending £20 on.
I went to Waitrose instead and got Osso Bucco, mashed potato, green veg selection a selection of British cheeses and a bottle of wine for £15.Twins, twice the laughs, twice the fun, twice the mess!:j:j0 -
