    Scallops
    Sirloin Steak

Never bought an M&S dine in meal before - hope it's as yummy as it looks!

  • I got 2 Ribeye Steaks (worth £10.22 on their own!) Sparkling burgandy (also worth a tenner!) then chunky chips, camembert and cherry tomato tartlets, strawberry and champagne souffle and box of chocs. Definately worth paying £20 for imo :)

Also picked up a stir-fry meal deal for £3 and some bogof ice-cream so all in all a good shopping trip today!!
  • i'm off to get ours tomorrow, anyone know if they will let us have oj instead? me and oh don't drink alcohol, hate elderflower, and i can't have coffee due to meds.
Plan to save all child benefit from Jan 26th - November 30th
    £2208
  • hey, i was going to get this for valentines, but my partner is a vegetarian and i am not, so that means i would eather have to get something extra for one of us, is it worth it?
  • In the Preston store this morning I got the following:
    Bottle of sparkling Burgundy
    Coquilles St Jacques
Two 21 day matured rump steaks with peppercorn sauce
    Mediterranean vegetables
    Large pack of strawberries
    Red rose

All the above should have come to £33.94!!

The sparkly wine is lovely as are the Coquilles St Jacques and we are really looking forward to them

I can't get into Preston until Saturday and no doubt it will all have gone by then!

    ...my partner is a vegetarian...

what you're saying is that you'd have to get an additional main course, but actually that might not be so. You could for instance get yourself the meat main dish and use a vegetarian starter for your partner - the cheese and cherry tomato little tarts are smashing - or there;s a camembert thingy for frying. So she or he could have that. Take it theyr'e not 'fishy' vegetarian. By the way, the veggie main dish looked pretty good.
  • Got mine this morning. A real bargain IMO as the Sancerre alone is usually around a tenner!
Got the scallops to start with, the steaks for main, side dish was the green veg medley,- some kind of cheesecakey berry dessert (i'm not really a pudding person), and the chocs.
My DH is a vegetarian, so I bought him a vegetarian moussaka for his main, which we have often and is really nice.
I'll freeze the other steak. All in all a reallly good deal.It was a toss up between this deal and the Waitrose one. M&S won out as i never made it to waitrose today!
  • Well I'm chuffed at the response, this is my first Post and had 4660 views already!

    Thank you all

Why not get the veggie option and then you can both enjoy eating the same thing?

As a veggie I've been in the position before of going out with a meat eater and nothing says "I love you more" from your partner than them eating veggie with you and eating the same thing.

Go on, it's Valentine's Day, make your partner feel extra special :)

Plus no veggie wants to snog someone who has just eaten meat so think how much extra loving you'll get :D

Couldn't see any OJ in our store just the elderflower.

What I meant earlier by bartering the drink was not in store but with a friend/neighbour/relative. The elderflower is worth under £4 but the most expensive wine is worth £11, so could you get the wine and swap it with someone for OJ so you both win?
